A few years ago I bought a over and under 410 for my youngest daughter to learn to shoot skeets. That gun is a family favorite. The grandkids will be shooting it soon.
Should throw some anti-seize compound or if you have some muzzle loader breechplug grease on those threads. If you don't and it gets some moisture in there, it'll weld in place. ;) Might need an offset scope base to get the eye clearance.
Would be nice if (unless they already do) make these in centrefire calibres. I need to start thinning some of my collection out. And theirs still a couple of calibres I want!! 🤔🫣 Really like Hawke scopes. Especially for high quality springer air rifles. Thanks for sharing Hootey! 🙏

I have one (not the thumbhole version). And it puts out some great patterns at 40 yds. with any of the off the shelf tungstun loads. I've heard that the choke constriction on the stock choke can vary some on the 301 but mine is fine. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with yours.
They make a extension that will fit the hammer. I've got a couple I use with the Thompson Center Encore. They work great when clearing the scope with your thumb. God bless.

If you find the optic gets in the way with your big paws they make a spur that slides over the hammer so it sticks out the side, I run one on a single shot slug gun.
I have very little knowledge about 410 shotguns. Therefore I won't offer an opinion. I wish other people would refrain from talking about things they don't know about. It's a big reason I like your channel. I get to learn about new things.

Get you a hammer spur for that … I have a ton of the old H&R single shot rifles … worst mistake Remington made closing the brand. The hammer spur will help with cocking the hammer and decocking it
Savage makes Stevens I reckon they still do. I got a Stevens model 200 in 7mm-08. Shoots absolutely perfect with some loads I made. Goin to a lighter bullet soon. Of course Levi has it as usual lolllllllllllllllllllllll. That’s ok though I don’t mind i know where it’s at if I need it

I got a Konus shotgun scope. It has a diamond reticle that is supposed to be filled by a turkey's head at 40 yards and a deer's chest at 75 yards. I currently have it mounted on a H&R 1871 in 500 S&W magnum (not hunting turkeys with it) because it shout be able to handle the recoil. Have been seriously thinking of getting a Stevens break barrel, but it will probably be in 12 or 20.
Just a quick suggestion: purchase a hammer spur extension. It'll extend the spur to the side, and make it much easier to cock the hammer with that scope on the gun. It'll run you somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 to 20 bucks.

Should be available and workable OOB from Taurus/Rossi. I have 'em on my Handi Rifles that wear scopes.

You can get a hammer spur that sticks out to the side. I used to use them on my Marlin lever actions.

Get yourself one of those trigger extenders. It offsets your trigger so it’s easy to use with your scope on.
