If you have two groups of archers, one group of infantry, and one group of pike men you could put one group of archers on either side of a boat that has vikings with shields to flank them

I love this game for using actual places. Here in Shetland we have Unst, Muckle Roe, and so much more. Really want to get this game now
You should set some Divisions as reserves so not all of them get wiped out instantly, and when a division runs low on manpower send the reserves in as you send the troops to resupply. Just some tips:)
Not a good tip...since like the first 15 levels can be done with only 1 group...to be very efficient but after that you NEED to never make reserves since the more big ennemies are mich harder...i learned that the hard way...and i remember it by experience....

My strategy for this is, have archers high above, shields as the front line, and the spear men behind the shields, so to secure any runners, its efficient and a safe form of defence, and the forth would depend on what units come, if more archers come then have two shields, if shields come two Spears if just regulars then archers or what ever I feel like, not hard really simple

If you want to complete the entire game youre best bet is keeping Three Swordsmen Army, and One Pikemen Army and max out their upgrade most importantly their class upgrade and the special ability that is granted to you for completing certain islands.
I really wanted the game to go on even further to conquer more harder lands and to see just how far I can take my small army, also i feel there shouldve been a fifth army to control

The sfx are so satisfying in this game
It would be cool if the pike men had shields with holes in the middle to put their Spears in so they can take some arrows and the enemy get skewered

This game is great because, you will have to use strategies to take out the invaders. I kinda like the "Kill them on their boat" strategy.

an FTL like mechanic with the map and big wave chasing you, but seems like fun!
Quick tip: The infantry suck at choke points. It ruins their numbers advantage because instead of fighting all of your enemy’s they fight only 1 row. To get rid of this problem set them up at a either side of the choke point and then clamp on them using the units.
