13:00 i think simon forgot that harry and josh gambled 450 pounds and won and they also got better money for normal challenges compared to others. it was their luck but still
True but it does matter. Because for some teams the big money was behind stuff they could only do AFTER they left the country. So their ability to leave was greatly impeded. @@camdoesbusiness
@@camdoesbusiness not necessarily true, because each amount was distributed randomly behind the scratch off cards, and some of the scratch off cards were locked until they left the UK. So a team could be more fortunate with the money they get from the UK tasks. Also, the gambling really was the only reason Harry and Josh got to Maldives. You could put in the same effort as another team but then get shafted because the roulette lands on red instead of black. Maybe no gambling allowed for the next one.
Maybe a version in Europe where they need to get as far as possible by travelling through the most countries, challenges to earn money is good but it would need to be more value
Its a similar idea to Jet Lag but the main difference is they dont take into account the price of travel. Instead they earn "coins" which equate to travel time or distance by different methods. eg 1 coin per minute for car, 5 coins per minute for flight (made up numbers). If Sidemen want to do this again then i think a system more like that works better
Loved the scratch card idea with money and it being random. Maybe next time they can do it reversed, all start in different countries and all race back to the UK or some other country but they have to earn the money to do it, but possibly have to visit one other country in the middle.
I like the flight time limits, but challenges would need to be much more than they were. Like 100 min and 500 max. If a team spends an hour on a challenge and only gets 10 pound that really kills the competition
What they should have done to prevent them going in the same direction is that if one continent is taken by a team its locked off to that team. So if a team picked the middle east and booked their flight already the other teams can’t go in the Middle East. This would make the teams travel faster and also would allow them to take a bunch of different routes.
The video was a massive W, one of my favorites ever. However I do think they need more money, all of the money they earned through challenges in the video was only just enough for them to make 1 flight, and Josh and Harry had to gamble 450 to make the trip.
I think the monetary values should have been set amounts rather than random to cap the amount of money they could earn in the UK and therefore encourage them to leave ASAP to complete the abroad challenges. That wouldn't have limited the time they required to leave the country but still limits how much they can set up for a long singular flight. A lot of the tasks also just felt pointless just because everyone had already set up for a long flight and they didn't really need much more money to go further. I'm glad at the very least that the Maldives boys arrived there and decided that they wanted to get to one of the other islands so the abroad tasks at least had some use, even if it had no real effect on the outcome of the race.
By grading did they mean color grading? If so definitely agree the more stylized looks are way better especially when you’re changing scenes a lot. They did a great job considering how much footage they must’ve had
Have a finish line in X country and have challenges in different countries or have it so you can't complete some challenges until you're in a second/third/etc country. Have travel booked and if you leave a country before completing challenges there's a punishment or forfeit.
Instead of who can travel the furtherest in 24 hours, it should have been who can travel to the most countries in 24 hours but keeping the same idea of challenges to make the money and set a limit on the amount of challenges that can be completed in one country
I actually think it would be better if there were no planes involved and then limits on how long to spend on trains. Yes they wont get to the Maldives but would be a closer competition and then you could have different editions in starting in different countries
My only slightly issue with the video was I think they went to big to quickly. It just feels like if they do another one it could be at a massive risk of being very overwhelming and a little boring. As I feel like they either visited or mentioned all the places that would of been possible to do from London in 24 hours.
Would y'all ever consider a race/challenge to get back somewhere but leave the episode on a cliffhanger? Still make the video your normal hour plus length but leave the conclusion for next week?
Honestly the Sidemen could get some banger videos with just US streamers since they're pretty cool with some of them( XQC - charity match, Valkyrae, Fuslie - Josh friendship rizz, Speed, Kai maybe even Adin) but that would be a hassle to organise.
The scratch off card with random amounts was a good idea.
Yep that's what really carried the video and pushed the premise along
Get the Jet Lag boys involved. They could help you make a great game
This!
That's where they stole it from
13:00 i think simon forgot that harry and josh gambled 450 pounds and won and they also got better money for normal challenges compared to others. it was their luck but still
they all had the same amount of potential money

Im up for simon hosting more

Honestly it was one of my favourite sidemen videos, best one for a while
Miss the road trips so much. They were so good especially coming after the holidays videos
I enjoy these little clips when I can't watch the whole video
Watch the shorts then not the full podcast 😂

the Sidemen should do a collab with "JetLag the Game"
Same
or maybe not as a Collab but maybe use some of their rules/games.

Imagine sidemen collab with jetlag the game 😂 pretty sick
SImon has to remember that Josh and Harry had to gamble some of their money to get enough to go to the Maldives
1:This set is actually sooooo good.
2:it's kinda weird when it panns out and you're just sat face to face talking for hours

Banger of a video

I wish the boys weren't worried about going too far because they had to get back in time to do a video on the Monday.
Imagine the scenes if a team ended up in china

Sidemen geoguesser in real life would be better
too easy

Too much drama with US streamers.
They complain about the US too much
"Friendship rizz" you mean being friendly? Your brain is cooked
they really should have used the opportunity from the charity match to collab more
@@gabrielhicks8043 It was a joke and you got what I meant anyway. My brain is cookin
What's up with vik
He has an autoimmune disease
Hi
