    Is it a better idea to buy a cross cart than to build one or should I just buy a sand rail? cross cart, seem like trophy trucks of the go kart world and I really want one, but I don't think I'm a good enough welder to be able to build one

      It depends. I’m not a great welder either. I’ve just done it enough now I think my welds will hold. The Kj plans make it easy though. So if you practice I’d say build one. If tools are an issue and you live close to AZ I’ll let you use my bender. If budget is no issue and you are 5’6 or shorter I’d say buy a trophy kart. Truly the trophy trucks of the kart world. You are looking for a Mod kart. They are amazing! Bout 10 to 30 grand to buy used. 50 for a new one. Thanks for watching!!

    What wheels ans tires did you use?

    • @drxcustoms7967

      Those are not final. They are 10” quad wheels with 20” sunf tires. I think they are too small for the XL frame. Will end up with 12-14” wheels and 26” tires.

      @@drxcustoms7967 how wide? Curious how wide to go on the fronts

    • @drxcustoms7967
      @drxcustoms7967  Před 5 měsíci

      They are 7” on the front and 10” on the back.

      @@drxcustoms7967 thank you! Can you tell me the width of the wheel as well? Did you just use Polaris outlaw wheels? They're 5" wide so is it an issue to mount 7" tires?
