- A short video from a cold December ATV and SxS Trail Ride in rugged Nova Scotia, Canada. Two Gen1 Can Commander 1000 machines, a RZR 1000 XP, a Ranger 1000, and a Sportsman 570. There was no snow but the temperature was below freezing and the trails were in good shape for this time of year.

I want in next time!! Wicked ride!
Fun times in the maritimes
Awesome ride guys thanks have a great day be safe.
Thank you! Be safe as well.
We run into this a lot during hunting season where our camp is so far back in the woods, I find once you get the first bit of ice broken, back up and hit it again to cause a wave and it helps break it up!
That's a great tip. That's a benefit about the comment section, people can share their experiences for stuff like this.
Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for watching!
@@EastCoastATV gotta support local
Mastercraft wireless heat gun - uses the same batteries as there cordless drills, for defogging once and a while, You guys are a great add for those Commanders, high milage and not easy miles.
Thanks Michael that's a great tip! We certainly have had good luck with our Commanders!
Nice video. Looked like a fun time. I just installed a heater kit on my 2017 commander. With the soft cab enclosure the 25 below weather will be more enjoyable .
A heater and a cab will definitely make a big difference! Let me know what you think of it after you try it.
@@EastCoastATV I will never go without heated cab again. What a difference in the cold temps. -25 is enjoyable , helps keep the windshield clear from frost and can wear lighter more comfortable clothing .I have the soft door kit . Pro- easy to remove doors for warmer conditions 5 minute install /removal, lightweight and 1/4 the cost of the hard door kit. Cons- doesn’t seal the greatest and have to remove them for highway trailering. Overall I am really happy with this set up.
@@lloydmarche7263 Thanks for sharing that with me, I appreciate it. I think I will definitely consider a cab and heat for my next machine.
Great video, thx
When is your Gaspe video ready, looking forward
Thank you. I'm working on the NL videos at the moment. The Quebec videos will be after that. Not sure when but not for a few months. Sorry for the wait.
I know your machine has higher KM as well, has Bruce or yourself done any beside maintenance? I’m sure you both done bushings , some seals etc
I've replaced bushings, bearings, u-joints, rear shocks 3x, (front are original) and the steering rack recently. Bruce replaced his shocks at around 20,000 km but he has the upgraded ones. He replaced his rear differential a few years ago too, and a few sensors and things like that.
@@EastCoastATV that’s pretty good , considering the abuse they go through . Gives me hope for my outlander lol thanks !
Any future plans to retire the commander? What would you replace it with
I think about it now and then. But for now, it's still running fantastic. So I'll keep it a while yet. It would be a difficult choice as to what I'd get to replace it. Maybe a new Commander , Maverick Sport, or something else even.
