Beautiful tank I just took my first dive in to discuss bought a couple have a 55 gallon tank so I’ll probably top it off with five so they have some room not the cheapest fish and certainly not a lazy man’s fish did you have a beautiful tank

Ive keep discus for a little over a year now, but I never was clear on the “plop and drop” method of acclimating. I know about ammonia issues being a problem once the bag is opened, but what about ph differences from the bag water to your tank? If they are both different can that shock the fish too?
+PBK it can, but PH shock is the lesser of two evils. Ammonia will kill a fish quicker.

I'm from Glasgow - but live in Sheffield now. I'd suggest RT Discus (Coatbridge) but any of the main suppliers here will ship fish if you don't like the look of theirs!

Never heard of quarantining your new Fish huh? After a long trip like that, plus do you know the distributor quality of how they keep their fish? Scary dude!
That would have been a good point had I not talked about quarantining for a few minutes in this video, and pretty much every video of mine where I add new fish.
