I agree that the best way to get a trial is through contacts. My lad is about to start a trial for Tottenham U15 Academy after being recommended by his Saturday team manager to attend a Talent ID event and from that he was selected for a 6 week period in the Elite Development Centre. He did well there and that led onto the invite for a proper official PL sanctioned trial of 8 weeks. We'll see how he gets on but it will be touch. He'll be going into the bear pit!
I'd really be interested in a video explaining your experiences trialling for the clubs you were with, especially Spurs! I guess its as tough as they say to actually make it through to being signed up, especially at U15 level. Is it true that you basically have to be better then players they already have to be offered a place?
That’s basically how I got my trial there too. Was at the development center for 2 weeks then got offered the trial. So true about it being a bear pit! Gotta say strong mentally to deal with it and stay confident in your own ability! I’d say it’s true that you have to be better than what they already have, also depends what position as sometimes if a player in your position gets injured all of the sudden you have a much better opportunity of getting signed. But the other way around if they already have 3-4 players in your position if your not head and shoulders above what they have. Good luck to your son! Let me know how he gets on!!

btw dont get academy trials. try get a trial with a pro club development centre such as leeds united development centre. development centres will train you every week and they have like 3 coaches and 5 scouts there always assessing you every training thats how i got in

I’ve not played football in a year cause of injuries. What’s best way to get to semi pro level ? I.e trials or is it better to firstly join a team and play then midway through look to go after trials at semi pro teams
Currently, I’m playing in a Sunday league team and then maybe just get a 2 -3 min highlight video to show a semi pro team and they will most likely give you a trial
What about people under 16 years old who live in Algeria? How do they come to tests? Is it through a tourist visa? If yes, when is the date of the tests for first-class clubs in Europe in 2024, especially the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and France and espain

@@jacobthompson202 a lot of the time it is pay to get to pro level. Those kids in the top academies have been there for 10yrs+.
