We thought about driving to Alaska and Hawaii as well, but it turns out it cost $7,000 and two weeks to ship cars to Hawaii, so that's just not rational. but driving all 48 continental states on the other hand...

Well, it's part of growing up.
In 1993 I took my Pontiac Fire Bird 2.8 L standard tranny's to Toluca Mexico from West Palm Beach FL. Almost, almost run out of fuel at Queretaro Mex at 3 am in the mountains. Finally made it to the only fuel station open , all of them make fun of me ( taxi's cap driver's and station workers for no fueled up before. )
But I made it. Spend a month and returned to the states.
All this by myself.

@@cropduster9571 it might not be the best build, or the most practical build, but it put a smile on the guys face. as cheesy as it sounds, that is the main thing. the whole thing is like a pair of shoes, yes every pair of shoes does the same thing, some do it better than others, some look better than others, but 99% of the time youre only going to wear shoes you like.

Why does it require that? I never used additives in my 12A and it ran fine...
@@spaceghost5026 while it's still good to do it if your engine is stock, it's more important to premix your engine is heavily modified like that one, I only changed a few parts for my FC and I still premix, just to be safe
@@spaceghost5026 If you have your engine tuned for 93 and you run low octane fuel then the engine will knock. Guessing that yours ran fine without octane booster as you didn't go to a tuner and have it remapped to run on 93 and then fill it with lower octane fuel?

With coolant burping issues like this, you typically have to jack the car up in a way to make your burping apparatus the highest point in your coolant system. Air bubbles like to hide in the highest point. A classic case of this is exactly what @Krispy Media dealt with in his cross country trip in his Subaru Legacy GT.
Glad you guys were able to get the system burped eventually though! Keep rocking, definitely excited to see more!
This is a great series tonight it put a smile on my face because at night is where I get to think to myself and all my bad thoughts come to my head, my grandmother died almost twice tonight and thinking of my past failed relationships really put me off edge but thank you guys cause driving one of the absolute gorgeous cars in my future but thank you guys for making my night.

This is epic. Rode all through Montana and Idaho on a motorcycle last year, would NEVER do it in my FD, especially in winter, but awesome to see someone else doing it. What luck not having blown the coolant seals on the 13b. Radiators for FDs are a dime a dozen, hindsight's 20/20. GOT to have a good temp gauge in a rotary. Keep it up guys, awesome series.
