Every time you say your introductory greeting, it makes me smile and chuckle 😊
And the painting is simply wow!!!!
True to your instruction and work. The demonstration of negative painting is beautifully illustrated.
I am ready to take off and view your mountains in reality.
Thank you for your instructional artistic talent. Negative painting is a mind expansion I have always found to express myself from within. Master Woolley, I will revisit this reality. The lights are on-many grateful thanks for sharing your talent and expertise in interconnecting the mindset freely. I am excited to paint again. Wow, your mountain connects with me. I am drawn to the watercolor painting process once again😮“ the freedom from within!”
Gratefully yours,
MaryAnne
I think I've watched this 12 times now. Great negative painting. Wow.
12 times? Crikey - that's more times than I've watched it! Thanks for the great comment Dennis.
It’s surprisingly satisfying to paint detail in many washes.👍
Beautiful! Great tips on layering, fun to watch all the negative work!
Your mountain is almost more interesting and beautiful than the real thing. I love the mountains!
Thanks Momiji - watercolour enourages us to improvise, and hopefully bring out the best of our subject (I love mountains too....).
Wow! Awesome. Great lesson in negative painting, layering and softening edges. Beautiful!
Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely gorgeous ❤ a great tutorial! Thanks a lot for sharing.
You're very welcome Angela - thank you for the lovely comment and icon.
Wow! Wonderful . One of the best tutorials to paint mountains. You create magic and of course the way you narrate is equally impressive.. Thanks a lot.
Marvelous..can understand the amount of hard work..
I'm watching this during the covid 19 lock downs, feeling detached from the world. This was so relaxing and inspirational, with some asmr. 🙂Thank you Peter 💖
All relaxed and inspired sounds good... mission accomplished!... Thank you for the lovely comment Judy!
Awesome! Many Thanks.
Lovely presentation
Thank you so much for this great tutorial and the almost poetic calm and clear explanation! Super!☺
Awww... Thank you for the lovely comment Siny... I don't think I've ever been called poetic before. I'm pleased you enjoyed it!
Many thanks for sharing this marvelous demonstration of snowy mountain top with clear and detailed explanation! A complex process of applying watercolor in multi-layers is illustrated systematically. I am amazed to see that this negative painting technique shares certain affinity with Chinese classical painting. You are great!
One of your best!
There are a lot of great paintings to be seen on U Tube .... Then there are rare ones you would like to have on your wall and enjoy... for me this is one of those... impressive...
Thanks for that Christine. You may be interested to know that the painting can be purchased from my Demonstrations Gallery at www.peterwoolley.co.uk/originals_gallery_DEMOS.html
Just amazing! Thank you :)
Excellent demonstration, thank you
phenomenal!
I would say that the painting is great, but the true art, I find, is in just watching you create this out of nothing.
Amazing! Great technique. Thank you
Some really helpful tips in there and very soothing to watch. Thank you for the video!
Thanks Peter, so helpful. The negative painting must take infinite patience (and all with a round brush too) but the final effect is terrific. This was not a half hour painting, must have taken many hours. You are a master of patience!
thank you so very much for sharing! you are truly wonderful! I am going to practice this!
A brilliant demonstration. Thank you very much.
Amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏I am glad I found you.
Феноменально!Благодарю Peter! Многослойная акварель! Очень профессионально! Горы просто обожаю. Очень давно была проводником на вулкан Эбеко. Суровая красота. 🤔🤗👏👏👏🎨👍
Divine Peter and it shows just how much time one needs to create something this powerful yet subtle. Breathtaking and very well explained - than kyou. I've subscribed.

Fantastic...
Te considero un gran acuarelista! Increíble el juego de luces y sombras en la montaña. FELICITACIONES!!!!!!!!
beautiful ly painted.wishes.
What an absolutely stunning painting and what an incredible, calming and helpful video. You, sir are amazing! Thank you very much! I was hoping for a quick and easy knife with oils on canvas type of "technique" but unfortunately with watercolors there is no way out but perseverance, painstaking attention to detail and painting each nuance of the mountain and rocks one by one. Great video!
Thanks Minds Eye, I'm pleased you enjoyed the demonstration
Thank you very much. Great demo. That gives me a direction how to paint snowy mountains top. I have been doing a lot of trial and error, some hit and miss. This provides me a stepping stool for the next leap.
I love to just start a painting without much thought, love the unexpected.
Ditto that Greg - the very essence of watercolour...
Nice job Peter, I've been trying to paint snowy mountains for zonks. Never thought of negative painting it though.
I think I'll need to take a patience pill before I start. Thanks for lesson, Dave M ( Australia ) 🇦🇺😎
Thanks for that David - good luck with your snow mountains!...
So beautiful! And such intricate breathtaking work.

"It's important to constantly monitor what happens on the paper, stand back for it often, and be prepared to reevaluate what you see, if the paint starts to dictate something different to your original intentions"
thank you :D
Amazing

👌Very nice sir👍
Thanks Manisha - I'm pleased you enjoyed it!
Sehr schöne Videos, die auch ohne berauschende Englischkenntnisse leicht verständlich sind. Da hilft nur Geduld haben und üben...😉

Thanks for the comment, Rainsky - I'm pleased you enjoyed it!
What a piece of work... Wish I can also do these one day.
By the way, how can I get your DVD?
Veay good**
Thank you for sharing this, I have a frame I've wanted to fill and I think something like this would be perfect. What about a distant forest in the space below . How would you go about doing that?
Simply awesome Peter.. You have a divine gift..
Did you work as an announcer in BBC?
for me this is extremely difficult because with hand i draw to symmetrical. i can't imitate the random nature^^
Maybe try doing very loose watercolour sketches?
1 Climb a mountain.
2.Paint such an interesting mountain.
3. See someone paint the contours.
In that order.
Three-part plan... I love it!
