  • Fan resistor /heat fuse replacement on resistor pack on a 2001 Kangoo, 1.4i.
Fan only operational on 3, i.e. "full blast".
Replaced the diode on the circuit board too, since there was a crack in it.
Usually it is only the heat fuse itself that is responsible for the fan speed malfunction. Try changing out fuse only, as first mend.
Especially this type of resistor pack, shown here on this car; type:
Behr Hella, pno: 9xx 009 122-041 is nearly impossible to find as new replacement part.
Other optional pno's are : Nissan 77010-44016 and Vemo V46-79-0003.
    Just as hard to find..
The heat fuse/resistor it self is NOT recommended to be soldered in, due to the heat it will be suffering, and the high possibility of burning it out, on the attempt to do so.
A better option is to solder on a couple of auto electrical wire connector spades to the posts on the board, and then join in the fuse using a pair of pliers to crimp ends on.
    :)
Tip: One can not always determine if the fuse has been blown, visually.
Cost of this repair is very low. These resistors are cheap 5 ea for a dollar.
And if you are in possession of a soldering iron, some auto electrical cable connectors, and some pliers... you surely can do this.
    Fuse Spec:
    121deg 250volt 10amp thermal fuse
    Diode is VS20ETS08-M3
