  • This is just to show the Auto-Z calculation with PCB Klicky that I have it setup on my DIY Voron 2.4 3D Printer I just recently build. Should you have any question, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for watching!

I do not really understand why you need Z homing and Auto Z? For my I do a XY Homing and than I take the klicky probe and go directly to my bed for gantry leveling. I do not touch the z-endstop.

Why so many samples though? Wouldn’t just 2-3 be enough? I usually only use 1 with a bl touch so it’s strange seeing so many samples.

yeah....! I agree way too many samples since it does not fall within accepted tolerance for QGL. But since I upgraded to this metal mount s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DerKKID and IDM Scanner s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeqN6j7 No more of that nonsense. Thanks for comment!

oh, I'd like to do this on my merc 1.1. Would be much appreciated if you can please share if you have any instructions on this or perhaps links? that's a klicky probe right instead of euclid? I watched the kapman vid on this too, but being new into klicky probes and auto-z, lots of things are still missing for my brain :). and where can you buy the metal pin for the calibration of Z offset, does it come with the kit when you buy the probe? ta

I just realised that that PIN you had at the back of your plate for calibration is just a screw......🤪

It a assembled Z endstop. Inside the voron 2.4 manual.

@@unlock-er not a screw. I think it's 5mm pin with flat in the middle so it wont come out of Z endstop assembly. Like this s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mtUX6CY . When my nozzle hits on the pin there is actually a endstop switch located at the bottom of the assembly. Think of it as a fancy z endstop. The pcb klicky probe is like any other probe. We utilize both z endstop and probe to automatically calculate z-offset before the print even if you change to diiffetent print bed material.

How did you add the wire brush

Download stl file for the brass tooth "wire" brush. Write some "brush" clean macro. Then add that "clean" macro inside "calibrate_z" macro. By doing that, nozzle will hopefully be cleaned before calibrate_z
