  • Sailing upwind is probably the skill that makes the biggest difference to your race results. Before each race you should form a pre-race plan. Do you want to bang a corner? Or stick nearer the middle?
You'll usually find there are multiple strategical factors to consider, including:
    -- Wind shifts
    -- Wind strength
    -- Wind bends
    -- Tide
    -- Chop
Also in this video, we'll cover:
-- Should you bang the corners?
-- What if no side is favoured?
-- What if someone tacks on you giving you dirty air?

I have been employed using math modeling estimates in business decisions or engineering decisions to determine optimum results. Watching this video was first time I considered comparing each course option available based on math modeling to simulate and predict results with error analysis. A personal satisfaction moment for me!
What smartphone aps provide some or all of these simulation modeling choices?
