We have a similar event near here called “The Flywheel Festival”. Antique engines, tractors, steam, black smithing, cars, museum, music and food. Houston, MS. Spring and fall events annually. Thanks

The engine that fires occasionally is called a "Hit-and-Miss engine". It only gives it fuel when the governor slows down and the engine is going to stop. If you put a load onto it, it will fire more, and then as the load increases, it will fire every time. Wile the engine still has momentum, it will not fire.
