- Did you know that in Pixar’s ELEMENTAL, the fire people has their own kind of language. If you watch the trailer, you’ll find these letters on every shop houses owned by the fire people. Ember’s family who owned a grocery store also has these fiery letters on their product. With that being said, I think we will see Ember teaching Wade the fire language since it’s obvious that they will end up together.

The letters remind me of Hangul/Korean alphabet. It makes sense considering the director is Korean.

The fire language is called firish. It was iconic when I went to see the movie since im born in ireland and the name is similar to irish which is the traditional language apart from english for ireland
I don't rlly see this as a love movie it's more to me it seems more like Wade helps ember realize that she has a right to choose her own path and passion in life cuz in the trailer her dad says shell run his place when he retires

I’m here to say that spoiler alert: the movie starts with ember’s parents migrating to elemental city together and they have ethnic fire names that other people can’t pronounce, so burny and cinder are actually their more ‘westernised’/easier to say elemental names
The more I see for the film trailers, the more I think the designs were inspired by studio gibli, IDK why

I think those Firehall letters aren’t actually a language that exists in elemental, but not in real life. I think they just put Chinese letters for everyone to think that that those letters made people think that the fire people have their own language.
