Hearing you say “hippo-down” instead of “hipp-ow-don” killed me
Same 💀
I swap pronunciation nearly every time I say it
Hip-pow-don
Get better soon!
I was gonna make a Fur-raw-thorn comment but despite enjoying rain, it was never mentioned.
The weatherman is backkkk
We’re so back
I hope you all liked this video. It was alot of research and work but I think the end product was worth it! Make sure to follow Gavin on twitter, this would've taken ALOT more time if it wasn't for his help! twitter.com/komvgc
The Video is good and all but whenever you were showing your Face it looked like you were looking at some kind of Video Script instead of the Camera
Came from tiktok. Even though I’ve never played vgc and haven’t touched competitive since Gen 6 smogon, I’ve found competitive history interesting
This video was well made, props to everyone who contributed!
The opening statement caught me so off-guard lol. Great video breaking down the weather over time! I think you did a great job weaving humor into the informative content, and your delivery of the script felt very comfortable and professional. I would love to watch more videos like this!
I love the editing in this video! You & the team crushed it here. Subbed & definitely planning to watch your backlog!
Great opening statement. Haven't even watched the full vid, just 30 seconds. You earned my sub lol
This was a great look back at previous gens. My first look at rain was in 2018 with Kyogre Xerneas being somewhat common. It’s super interesting to see that manual rain was the beginning of that strategy back in the day. Great vid!
I really like the way you scripted this video. The writing is nice. Great job on the research as well.
Great video! I love historic deep dive content like that that explores how metas evolve and change over time.
Get this man a stand up tour, he’s funny
This was fun to watch despite pretty much knowing everything that was mentioned, good summary and editing! More long form content is something I personally would really enjoy seeing
This video popped up in my recommendations, I haven't seen any of your videos before, but you definitely earned my like and subscribe. Looking forward to more videos like this
Very informative stuff! Looking forward to watching a lot more of your content! 😄
this is very cool to hear about!! am currently trying to learn a bit more about competitive pokemon so this is very interesting, thanks for the vid!!
i really liked the video format & presentation!
it just straight up looks extremely nice lmfao
Gen 3: Drizzle and Drought are powerful abilities tied to Pokemon that can end our region as we know it.
Gen 5: Using the power of the dreams, we can encounter Pokémon with abilities never seen before.
Gen 7: Fuck it, Pelipper and Torkoal have it now.
Such an underrated channel!
I love this type of content that I subbed to you and your team.
Loved this. You could do these all day & I’ll b watching
wow, what a great video! defenitely deserves a lot more subs
Great video, instant subscribe
hey i just found this channel and i like the work you put in man you got a new sub. keep up the good work.
You got a pretty good algorithm with that video. I got it recommended to me as your first video as well
I started playing vgc in gen8, and I must say, my all time favorite pokemon, kabutops, did not dissapoint me
Hey amazing Video I love content like this! Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you mentioned the changes to turn order and speed in Gen 8. Since they get recalculated mid-turn now it does change the power of abilities like Swift Swim and things like Max Air Stream for Kingdra especially in VGC. I'm not sure if it was a net-positive for rain (since other teams can use that to their benefit as well) and noone will ever know for sure but I do think it's worth a mention.
Dynamic speed control is probably worth it’s own video thanks for bringing this to my attention
weather presented by a weatherman
Good video! ❤
GREAT VIDEO
Just wait until restricted format reopens. Kyogre will be back. And this time with a new terrifying friend.
Ogerpon: "Pon pon?" 😈
ive come from tiktok, got a new sub :)
Great video guys, can we get sunny day history next (chlorophyll gang)
Weather stonks up today

hippo-down is legendary
What is the site with the historical competitive teams?
would you look at that! I was just looking to make a rain team in radical red lol
Weather abilities should have been exclusive to Legendary and Mythical Pokemon.
Me watching my choice band SS Qwilfish 2HKO resists in gen 4 ou
Sun is best 💪
Then make sure not to miss the sun video 😎
Hey, doesn't Electric type moves get a 100% accuracy rate in Rain?
Thunder can’t miss in the rain, but that’s just unique to thunder not every electric move! There’s plenty of things about rain that we didn’t have time to cover Pokémon is a very deep game after all
@@skrawvgc Ohh fair fair. I coulda swore it was all electric moves, my apologies! Thanks for the info :)
Terrain vs Weather which is better?
They serve pretty different purposes but that is an interesting thing to think about
It's hippowdon not hippodown
What about TopOgre? That was pretty big throughout 2010 as well?
Additionally, why are you only covering Worlds? There are several other great rain teams that could’ve also made the list like Alex Ogloza’s victorious Scarf Politoed team at the 2014 US Nationals.
TopOgre was a popular archetype! This video honestly could have been 4 hours long so a lot had to be cut
@@skrawvgc Like I added just now, why are you only covering Worlds?
Sand please:)
Fo drizzle my nizzle
The reason I downvoted this video is because partway through it I was asked to upvote it. I hope that's some constructive criticism.
Storm Drain Gastrodon completely Shuts down Rain during the Sword and Shield Era , In SV , Nobody is using rain
I see you are a man of culture with that Vic Dibitetto clip🫡
