The 8 wheeled APC is classified as a tank destroyer by the author, and it’s the vanilla version of the vehicle used in GetBrocked’s survival PvP series. The modded version uses the 150mm gun turret from the Assault Weapons Pack.
But yes, it’s a beast

I am working on a similar design to the truck currently in different sizes and modular cockpits for different loads etc. based on the real world concept of the HX3 military truck.
... we really need rover AI drones. That would make so many smaller groups of players have so much new to experience.
There is a script for ai tank battalions i think
I've been using V.M.E. vehicles for awhile. they look great and drive awesome.
As much as i love realistic rovers i'm exceptionally bad at driving in SE so i had to build all of my rovers with the ability to survive me driving them. On the plus hand i got them durable enough to be able to drive around the all of the planets from pole to pole.
i've designed my rovers to have the lower chassis made out of blast door edges and heavy armor blocks and separated from the critical components by an open space.
Honestly, that's a good way to design rovers. Make them able to survive bad driving by anyone!
I've had a little experience with that recon rover before, it's so dang fun to drive around in. It's probably one of the best controlling and usable rovers I've ever seen or built.
Oh, also, if your looking for new workshop stuff to show off, might i recommend the Liberator - Interplanetary Transport, built by S. Powell. It has all sorts of stuff on it (including the new guns), and even comes with it's own large rover and two fighters with just about all the firepower in the world.
Remember doing a cross planet challenge in it with someone the outlands guys 1 time, was such good crack

The 6 wheeled rover has a auto cannon turret in the back is one of those mods
Skidd truck with loader is an excellent vehicle. I subscribed it myself.
CDF used some of these in the assault on the EFN moon base too. Good Times..
I've got some of these for my petram playthrough, I haven't limited myself I can make aircraft but it's just impractical because of the small atmo and lack of ice and the rovers come in handy

I'm using the first rover in my survival world. I managed to leave the gravitational pull of the moon in it.
the 8 wheeled vehicle was either an LAV or a Striker and the gattling gun is the COAX

i have these on my discord only server and we modded them a little like fixed the blocks connecting the wheels upped the reactors to better modded ones and added mass effect jump jets to them to aid with landing they are triggered on most by a sensor and timer block that picks up the distance from ground and at around 10 mts from it toggles them on and off until the rover is back on ground

There is no point in narrow-profile rovers like tanks, in any case, the only advantage of wheeled vehicles over the air is cheapness and carrying capacity, and the task almost always consists in transporting something heavy. Instead of several rovers for different tasks, it is better to invest resources in one large truck with heavy armor and many turrets. A few crew members are also a dubious necessity. If you have a friend, it's better to have him cover the rover from the air. If someone managed to defeat a combat airship using a rover, write, it's interesting. In my experience, air always wins.

What I'm trying to do is make a mobile power grid for my medium rover it's been a pain still haven't figured out how I'm going to do it I want to use small blocks which requires me to do the rotor method to mix the large blocks with small

All of these look great, but many of them look like they would be destroyed by the ground before the enemy even fired a shot.

i really dislike to fiddely designs by now, as you cant ever use them in survival. even changed my own buildstyle, as i made everything too good loking but damn impractical.
My rovers are the best (just kidding they arent lol)
