- Otherwise referred to as the Defender or CCV, an incredibly large rover manufactured specifically for the role of keeping heavy convoys in line while crossing vast distances over planetside trade routes and scaring off scavengers or pirates looking for easy loot.

Thank you for doing a video on my rover, it was a large project to undertake and took a few months to complete. Originally the wheels were attached to a large grid block core that ran the full length of the vehicle but it took up a lot of space until I figured out how to get large grid 3x3s onto small grid 2x2 axles. After that it opened up everything below the hanger's floor for detailing and then they added small grid doors which finally allowed me to finish the project off.
There is very little space that was not actually used for something, and yes there is an interior hydrogen thruster pack located on the bottom deck behind the storage hall walls under the hanger. This was almost required because going from large axles to small axles, they did not have sufficient power to move a 1,000,000 mass vehicle since they are intended to normally move something the size of one 3x3 large grid wheel. The fuel saver will turn these thrusters off after reaching a similar speed as the speed governor which that prevents the vehicle from going too fast and wrecking itself.
The AA gun on top is not directly controllable as it requires a designator turret (which was a supergrid interior turret stuck on top of the turret) and it will auto track targets as long as it has an AI turret in its terminal group.
And yes all of the terminals have Windows 95 running on them, except for the one located in the office on the desk which has a robocraft reference in remembrance of the game I originally built it in.
I also had a brake light script in initially but some update to how Keen handled LCDs made them have a several second delay when turning on and I could not figure out how to get around it.
Yeah i REALLY like this, I may use this style of design(and small blocks) to make my bottomless mining rover.

if this is a convoy escort vehicle, i'd love to see the size of the vehicles its built to escort.
I was actually imaganing it transporting smaller craft, just imagine this thing traveling surrounded by like 6-7 smaller rovers half its height.

Technically your blood freezes over in a cryopod so is wouldn't be too much of a problem as long as your quick about it

I was visibly shaken when he misread the remote control block as "Turn Left Control," at 10:29 then proceeded to search the other seats for "Left Turret Control"
Looks awesome, though it is hard to make any judgements about how the internal lighting looks when your character headlights are still on through the whole tour. I get the impression from the layout that the lighting would be somewhat dim and dismal, complementing its worn look perfectly. Nice showcase.

looks amazing! I don think the underside button for the lower lift needs to be moved though. You shouldn't be in danger when you hit the button.

I’m just concerned that one missle would blow the whole rover up. As it stand small ships blocks are flimsy a best, even if they are the heavy armor variant.
it seems like the Armour is quiet heavily layered in parts
I'm with you Stephen, gorgeous detailing, and it would take about 2 seconds flat to shred it with 4 Gatling guns in a square. I wish that armor had like a 50% health increase, at least for small grid

Imagine having that convoy destroyer in both large and small grids, as well as having more space in the cargo area to store land and air vehicles on different decks. It would be a nice project to see but name its brother like "Convoy Battleship Carrier".

I though this literally the expeditionary vehicle, usually convoy escort just has weapon with not really amount of living space or storage other than ammo

Wait how did you climb the ladder through the door?
Everytime i try this it pops me off the ladder below the door and I drop back to my starting position.
I've had to put all the ladders so they are above the door and you just jump on then immediately jump off but i've had to start making door stops for security that move into the ladders path to make them impassable.
Edit: Nevermind I see your jetpack activated at the last second. I've got automatic jetpack activation modded out on my game.
Does that mean all the Ladder/ door combinations on this vehicle are useless without Jetpacks turning on and catching you at the top?
my only complaint is in a theoretical pvp game... one rocket shot to the cockpit and you're SoL unless there's another cockpit in the ship...

Hey Aaron you should try doing a Rover nomad/convoy server and see how it goes sort of like the anthill one but mobile. See how long and how others manage to keep bases mobile like mobile printer it'd be cool to see how the guys on the server manage it.

there might be more than just the modded weapons, i looked up if there was a mod for it on the steam workshop, there is, :/ would be nice if it was vanilla
I think it's Build Vision 2. It has this pop-up menu where you can edit values for blocks by looking at them directly instead from an access point and you can also attach and detach rotor heads and piston heads (which is not possible in vanilla, unlike the rotors). I think Splitsie mentioned in his survival series that the same method for detaching/attaching piston heads can be used for small/large grid wheels.
Those are 5x5 wheels.

Wouldn't use the P button to park advanced ships/rovers like that, if you do it will disconnect all connectors also, which could have made the rear hangar door unlock/fall down. It's just general bad practice.

Personally, I think they should get rid of ships using big blocks in SE2. If they can better optimize using small grids, I'd prefer having to make ships with small blocks.

You can use a mod called Daily needs which adds food, water and energy bars to your character as well as functional hydroponics.

There was only one thing that I didn't like about this craft and that was the complete lack of windows in crew recreational areas
Only missing the m32-101 fortress Sierra a monolithic land ship 4 massive 900 foot long tank treads on the 4 front and 4 back tracks then it's got an extra 600 feet in the middle its 500 feet wide has 4 point defense mass driver thermo nuclear rail guns 2 rear launch bays to launch 8 sets of 3 hammerhead frigates and on top 6 point defense swarm fire havok homing missile launcher
with that much pcu he should have called the FPS 000

Clipping doesn't do anything, but if you are clipping a subgrid... that's a whole new can of worms.
The wheels also aren't perfectly spherical nor are they cylindrical, they are an elliptical spheroid (elliptical from the side, circular from straight on to the hub)
If you don't believe me, get in the game and stand on one, walk around a bit.
