    What a great explanation of the rules! It really helps to watch videos like yours before taking a look at the rulebook.
    Most of the time for these heavier games I watch the video, read the rules and watch the video again.
    Also hoping for a solo rules video.... 😉 keep those high quality videos comming!

    I really like your videos, I've watched all of them on your channel. You have been clear and consistent on your videos, I know you put a lot of time in on them editing, and researching the rules, and I've seen that you are quick to admit to any mistakes. Enjoying the videos keep up the good work. I really think I will enjoy this game and look forward to playing it some day. Thanks again.

    @12:26 is it possible to place a mission card on an asteroid hex?

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  Před 4 lety +1

      No. You can only play a Mission Card if it matches the color of your die. You will never have an "asteroid die".
      In addition, you can never enter the asteroid hex with your ship.

  • @BleepingRelics
    @BleepingRelics Před 4 lety

    It baffles me they didn't make a full coop game with this thematic. What sense does it make that the AI's are competing against each other inside the ship ? Does solo play helps "making sense" of the thematic ?

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  Před 4 lety +1

      To be honest, it's a totally abstract space-game for me. I like the color palette, I like space, but this game is abstract for me. However, the gameplay is phenomenal! And in solo mode, you can think of it as fighting against some computer viruses in the system.
      And the solo mode is a great teaching mode on the strategy. I usually win multiplayer games by miles only because I had to swallow some brutal loses against AI previously. 😁 And I had to figure out how to beat that AI, and that helped me to understand the game nuances much better.

    • @BleepingRelics
      @BleepingRelics Před 4 lety

      @@nithrania-gameinanutshell Every games are abstract in some respect. For instance, Mage Knight which I love very much, there is sometimes a disconnect of the theme because the mechanics are heavy machinery. But with Black Angel it's a bit puzzling because their theme and representation of space is awesome and somehow it feels like they should have committed more to their theme to deliver a gameplay that made sense. For Solo play, i guess it's alright and your idea of fighting a computer virus is valid. But something that bothers me even more is that, score is more important than objective, why did they do that ? Everyone should lose if the ship blows up. I don't really care about scores... I was going to pass on this one and i really wanted to like it BUT you make me doubt again and i might pick one up anyway.

    • @nithrania-gameinanutshell
      @nithrania-gameinanutshell  Před 4 lety +1

      You're right about the theme, I fully agree.
      However, as far as I know, there was a problem with the gameplay. When one player was doing really well then others would deliberately let the ship get destroyed just to prevent that player from winning. And that doesn't seem right, so the authors decided to do it the way it is now. But you can always House-Rule anything. 🙂
