  • For over a century, Kashmir’s willow trees have been the source of renowned cricket bats, supporting a billion-rupee ($12.1 million) industry with 400 manufacturers. These willow bats are not only popular in India, they found their way to international markets such as the U.K, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will mark the inclusion of Kashmir’s willow bats in an International Cricket Council event for the first time. |
