  • In this video I’m sharing 6 beginner trigger finger release exercises to help decrease your finger stiffness and improve your overall finger range of motion after your hand surgery.
These exercises can be a great place to start if you were not given any direction, or told to just make a fist. But of course, quick disclaimer, this video is not a substitute for medical advice so always ask your doctor, or your Certified hand therapist with questions about your condition.
Keep in mind, it's not uncommon to have finger stiffness for several weeks, even months, after a hand surgery so make it a habit to do these exercises 2-3 times a day until they become easy.
We will be doing 10 repetitions of the following exercises:
    01:12 Exercise 1- Finger spreads
03:44 Exercise 2- Passive finger lifts
    08:03 Exercise 3- DIP blocking
    09:52 Exercise 4- PIP blocking
11:32 Exercise 5- Tendon glide 1- Knuckle benders to straight fist
15:07 Exercise 6- Tendon glide 2- Hook fist to full fist
Please comment below to let me, and others, know how this real time hand routine felt for you!

Hello Michelle. You probably already know what I’m about to tell you. I just wanted to say that I stopped taking over NAC over a year ago. I’ve restarted taking NAC again, and I can’t believe the relief it’s brought to my base thumb arthritis. It feels 80% better after taking NAC.👍🏻

I got a cut on my right thumb 2 month ago & I got 4 sutures. Now my thumb skin is kinda constricted & i can't flex my thumb fully. Thumb was immobile for 2 months... please suggest some excercise for this.

Can you answer my question about my buckle fractured wrist? I belive I may of taken my splint off to early and now I am experiencing some discomfort in the same wrist. Is this something that will get worse?

That is a question for your doctor. You may need another x-ray to check it out.
