Great video. Just re-laced my RBG46B.
I loved that glove.
Nice! I have the same old glove (except it was previously Dale Murphy). These were sold at Costco in the late 80s/early 90s. My old glove could use this treatment.
Awesome. Makes me want to send you my glove for the same treatment. I’m fairly certain I’d end up screwing something up.
I had this same glove in little league, in the early 90's
Excellent video and resource guide. If you're planning on re-lacing your glove watch this video. Or send your glove to Durham Glove Repair for complete services.
I have a few take-aways:
1.Like most things, there are different approaches/techniques for re-lacing. In particular how the different sections of lacing are terminated. Don't be afraid to experiment.
2.Use 1/4 inch wide lacing; Not 3/16 inch. Unless your glove is designed for the 3/16" laces. You'll thank me LOL.
3.Slowing down the CZcams playback speed greatly helps following the directions. Task Bar/Settings/Playback Speed/0.25.😉
I use 1/4” in the webs and fingers. 3/16” everywhere else. The webs and fingers take the most stress and the extra width holds up better over time. The 1/4” in the other parts is to wide and results in a uncomfortable feel. But thats just my thoughts. Thanks for watching!
Am I correct in thinking the new lacing puts the shape and life back into the flat and lifeless glove you started out with? Thanks and take care.
Nice work! I'm about to replace a RBG4....similar glove.
Thank you!
I have this glove but opposite hand. Maybe a 20 year old glove! In need of this badly!!! 😫 I wanna try it but idk if I can do it correctly lol
4:48 When you start this lace are you using any kind of “stopper” knot? I’m about to relace a similar glove, would be my first time doing this 😮
Nvm, saw how it was done when I took mine apart. Thanks for this video, it helped me get through RE-lacing a 30 yo glove. First time ever, very satisfying 😀
Btw: to anyone complaining about the speed, learn how to use CZcams, you can slow it waaaay down.
나도 같은거 있는데.. 신기 하네
Great video! What size lace did you use?
3/16" and 1/4"
@@DurhamGloveRepair Thx! I used the same on the same model of glove and it came out amazing!! Thanks for the tips and inspiration.
I have a old Jose Canseco RBG60 that is 12.5". I want to swap the basket web with a I-Web. Where can I find a I-web that will fit?
USASPORTSDIRECT has replacement webs you can buy.
@@DurhamGloveRepair Thank you.
@durnhamgloverrepair - how many mint laces did this take?
4.
How much length of string is needed?
4 total laces. 2 1/4” and 2 3/16”.
which type do you recommend for lacing the web?
1/4” in the web and fingers. 3/16” everywhere else.
Cool to watch but not for teaching .
Not an instructional video. Used to show my skills for future customers.
How the hell are you supposed to learn how to lace in fast forward.
Videos are not intended for learning. They are to show my work to potential customers. I have a “how-to” playlist with some slower videos.
Bro, slow down. The point of watching this is to learn how to do it, not watch you do it!
Actually these videos are intended to show my work for future customers, not for teaching. I do have some how-to videos.
Did you try to bring the playback speed all the way down?
