Just a friendly notice that your bot MUST BE ACTIVE or you will lose your badge. I had my active developer badge for a few months then got an email from Discord stating that I lost it due to inactivity from my bot. I recommend running a few commands every week or so to ensure that you keep the badge.

im confused because 24hrs ago i did the command for the badge and when i came back today the message was gone so i retyped the command and i have to wait all over again like it was never activated in the first place?

followed the instructions to a tee 3 times and doesn't work for me, every time I invite the bot it doesn't put the message at 4:12 and I am unable to use slash commands with it.

But I have 2 questions if you don't mind answering
1. Do the people need to stay active in the server or can they just join and simply stay inactive
2. Can I delete the server once done or atleast kick the people out of the server

1. Not technically active but as long as people are joining and your server is growing, thats better.
2. it really is up to you but once you deete the server, all people inside it would be kicked out.
writing a few commands, reinviting your alt accs every 30days should be enough

Scratch that. I had to make a new one. I believe you have to use a command with the app every 30 days, otherwise you lose the badge and have to repeat the process.

Sometimes it takes a while to pop up. I think mine took 3-4 days the last time I did it, but I used a different tutorial.
