Awesome to see you breath life into one of my favorite engines. Was definitely waiting for you to put this video out. Keep up the great work on the rebuild videos I enjoy watching them!
713Ace Rc 2 minutes ago Hey. I just pick up a Revo stuffed with a M26. The carb seems very stuck but I’ll see how it behaves this weekend. It’s the reason I saw your video. I see Amazon has the sleeve/Pistons. I’ll have to do the same as you. Pick up a spare since this engine are hard to come by. Cheers bud.
My carb was free after 3days soaked in some Top fuel that I’m getting rid off this way. 😂 The reversed happened to me. Long about 15 yrs I had bought a complete but low comp.. ofna .26 we’ll now I can rebuilt the ofna & the M26. Thanks for confirming the compatible DYN0905 part. 👍 Btw the backplate on yours look like a turbine, mine has a slope ramp that when pulled start it catches the crank. Every time I turn it by hand I can hear the click when it skips the ramp the opposite direction. Don’t know if you seen that before. I wasn’t expecting that design but it works.
@@thebug4046 I been watching some of your rant videos. They’re great. Also your videos helped me with a tear down of a truly abused HPI g3.0. The engine was just covered in a dark, burnt brass look (varnish?) and even the inner bearing was seized from I guess dried up nitro fuel. I can literally chip away at the gunk. Used someone called kork rub I got from a aircraft mechanic and it just melts the varnish off and let everything sit in ballistol. Just waiting on replacement bearings and seals for the carb
@@lastpally Hey brother I'm very glad my videos help you I really appreciate the input here and be careful of what you're using chemical wise anything that is a cost of base can really destroy things I try to use a strong alcohol or brake parts cleaner usually and it will not hurt anything but it will dissolve the varnish!
