    Every time the engine stops put the piston at the lowest point of the sleeve so you don't damge the pinch while it cools down ,i usually mark the flywheel so you know the lowest point.

    To bad you aren't able to measure piston and sleeve. If its not the sleeve putting a new piston assembly would do the trick also cheaper than a piston and sleeve set. On some 4.1 savages I have seen piston washed out and or could of had different clearance from factory if mix matching. Iv ran into both . Turning A custom 7075 solid piston would be awesome 🤔🫡✌️👍

    Hi. One question... in EU, people cant run with 20 or 25 % anymore. And... i cant mess mixing my own fuel. We can only use 16%, but my engines ( 3,5cc, 5,9cc and 6,3cc ) are designed ( as written in the manual) to run with minomum 20%. Now, im cleaning those engine cuz i want to run them again, but how i can use them with only 16% ? Remove shims will work plus a hotter plug ?

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046 Před 19 hodinami

      You can run 16% no problem it won't do any harm. And if you're engine has more than one head shim say 3 you can remove one or two for higher compression and better performance. It has only one shim don't worry about it just run them. And medium to hot plugs will be fine. Just tune for best performance

    That rear bearing is the bane of my 3.3 slayer. Never had to change it in my 2.5 rusty, 4 gallons through it too. The original 3.3 that came in the Slayer got all messed up when the rear bearing went. Now I'm more pro-active at changing it. I don't bother with the expensive high end options cause they don't seem to last that much longer. The 3.3 should of been a "big block"/normal .21 crankcase size. A larger rear bearing wouldn't have this issue.

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046 Před dnem

      Yeah they're pretty anemic and the reciprocating mass is quite a bit more but with a good quality European or Japanese made bearing it's not really usually a problem after that. I usually change em after the first gallon. My buddy is running Acer ceramic bearings in his 3.3 and it's been great! I have a set in my 2.5R as well. But if you want really good steel bearings SKF bearings from Sweden 🇸🇪 been using em for years now without any problems
