Humidity can be controlled with either a theral fogger or add water and hydro balls, perlite, or lava rock in to place your trays. Afix a filter and external exhaust fan. The idea is to replicate optimal out door conditions for that species.

Bro, Thank you SO much for this legitimately informative and educational vid! I hated school and most teachers couldn't keep my attention for shit! But I clicked w/ your style and was FN enthralled the entire time! I'm a rookie to mycology. Green AF, but so far have 12 successfully colonized jars on my first try! I am getting to a point where I have some pressing issues with jars varying in colonization rate and how to deal with the situation since I am using the one mono tub sent with my "kit" from Mid-W. Should I separate the different strains to smaller mono tubs as needed or should I not panic (I'm a Phan so I never Panic, LOL!!) and just wait until all the jars are ready??? Peace and Love brother!!!

In line air filtration and a contained pump in a sealed container with at least one side fitted with a HEPA filter. Pumps are cheap adjustable and you can automate them with a sensor and a micro controller.

I have an unconventional background in preventive medicine that led me to designing closed systems for cultivation as a hobby then took a side quest to learn electrical engineering at a school that wasn't ABET certified and wasted my GI Bill. Silver lining I still obtained a good bit of knowledge and skill that augmented my understanding of environmental sampling equipment and environmental engineering systems. Short story long I somewhere along the line I learned to view most things as complex systems with a series of input output processes producing a result. Touch my 📷 through the 🤺 at the Falcon 🚗🚿.

I’m going to build a Martha tent but wondering what size fan should I use on the humidifier and on the extraction fan taking the air out? Should they be the same, or should the extraction fan be slightly smaller to enable the tent to be positively pressurised?
I would need to seal the bottom to ensure it is air tight to enable this. I have seen the Midwest grow kit version which looks good. Just uncertain of the technology they use.

Does the fan have to be running 24/7?
How come humidity is pumped in from the top? Since wet air is lighter than dry air, wouldn't it make more sense to pump it in from the bottom so it can rise in the fruiting chamber?

Hey brother! I recently started doing 6 of the Eco Earth coco bricks in a bin instead of one per bucket. Didn’t get moisture down at first. A bunch of the tubs contaminated. My guess was it was from my spawn bags not being colonized at the top but I wasn’t much of a problem before and I had marked some bins and they turned out fine. So I guess it’s the substrate being too wet since I didn’t have the moisture down at first right?
So is it good for build mini green house using pvc? What’s the difference between myler and pvc? Which is the best?

What if you are trying to grow mushrooms in the summer and do not have air conditioning? The temperature might go up into the 90s sometimes. Will that just slow down the growth of the mycelium? At what temperature might it actually kill it?
Don’t let it get above 95 if you can avoid it I imagine you’ll see little too no growth beyond that point actual death of the mycelium if I had to guess an I mean litterally pulling this outta my ass but 105 or so
This is also gonna depend heavily on the species your growing too tho

I did a SGFC with micropore tape for my first fruiting chamber and I think somehow I had not enough humidity OR oxygen
What was your final result? Contam or lots of aborts?
Depends on your species but I tried growing Lion's Mane in a SGFC and they were definitely not getting enough fresh air because they were looking long and weak with many branches instead of being large masses. After I introduced a fan and steady fresh air they grew much better fruits. I know some species grow fine in SGFC without a fan though.
