My dream DJ product is a Serato Controller with 2 Rane 12 style platters with a mixer that has Rane Four features as well as a few Pioneer DJM S-11 features. Basically, I want a 4 Channel Battle Mixer and controller that is a cross between Rane Four and S-11 and has 2 Rane Twelve platters.

I'm very tempted, I only wish 2 things, the onboard FX could somehow be applied to Master, the Cue/Mix was controllable on the top plater.
Question, can the tempo displayed on the central screen on the platters, be set to 2 decimal points like serato software can? Just a curiosity.

Hello Rane One Owners, I wanna know is anyone other than myself having problems with stems. I’m currently running Serato 2.6 with no problems. But every time i download 3.0 or 3.1 Serato is erratic,it’s distorted,freezes ext. I updated my laptop with SSD 1TB hard drive problem still there. Love Stems but can’t get it to work properly. Thanks HELP! !

Great review. refreshing to see some genuine excitement from a reviewer. One small bit of feedback would be that it would be nice if the audio was a bit better. I know the wall behind the reviewer looks good but some better acoustic treatment would make a bug difference.
But, saying that, I didn't watch to the end just to complain about the audio.

Please do a video on how the Rane Four integrates with DVS turntables. I don't have turntables at the moment, but I plan on getting them in the future. Would like to know how it integrates with Rane Four. There are a couple of videos that briefly touched on it, but it isn't exactly clear what can and can not be done.

FLX10 has a function where you can flip a mix on 2 decks to a single deck and you can now bring in the next song or beat from the other deck... Can we do something like this on Rane-4 without utilizing the 3rd channel...thanks
I just ordered this today after selling my SZ2 and I swore by that controller becasue it mapped up to Serato Studio perfectly and its just an all around great piece compared to the toyish shit pioneer been dropping im sp used to full size gear with my cdjs I could get with the mobile controllers. Super pumped to get this
I’m having a lot of issues with the RANE Four and it’s Jogwheel and Play buttons. Sometimes I can’t even blend a song or even play a song. Hopefully they can fix this issues
And i want to be clear. Right now i have the ddj-sz and while the jog wheels are NOT motorized on the “sz” i can adjust the weight/tension which really helps.
I understand on the Rane4 there is no option to adjust the weight/tension of the jog wheels. Is that correct?
I really want this mixer, but I think I'm going to grab the pioneer Flx10. since Rane's warranty is terrible, my Rane mkll was ruined and it's been more than 12 days and they haven't responded to my email
hello greetings.could you help me with my Rane 4 Advance,i have 4 new microphones Shure with new wires,there is signal when i touch the mics top but i dont here on voice on my pionerr headphones that are brand new too,i bought yesterday i cheap mic and i still dont hear my voice on my headphones but if o hit the mic head that light of the mixer move up,i went to Guitar center to exchange the mixer for another Rane 4 and i am still having the same problem.i notice that on my Serato Dj pro there is and option on the setting that the MIXER section that has MIC,aux option but seems to be lock becas i can not move anything.

Hey.. I was tryin to use my numark party mix on my macbook pro (high sierra 10.13.6) and it is not working...... do u know how to fix it?
I love it. But after I did a firmware update , the left jog wheel starts having an issue. It’s not responsive anymore. It lost the back spin feature. SUCKS !!! Any help ???

they should have put those little oled screens abover the effects too so they would change when you swapped out the default effects they chose.

Yes, totally! This is can be used as a normal 4 channel channel controller as well! 🔥

Id love to see breakdown vs the new Pioneer 4 channel. I know they fill a bit of a different market space, but anyone considering the rane 4 is probably looking at the Pioneer

So far the dj spots I have been to here in Jersey have all suggested to get the Flex 10. Some aren't even selling the Rane Four stating that very few people have ordered it. They keep bringing up reliability of the brand and how the pioneer is most comparable with a club style type of controller. I have an SX2 so any of these two are obvious upgrades. I will probably go with the Flex since its similar to the 1000srt which I have used before in clubs and I already am familiar with the brand.

@@kboogie23 thanks for your comment. I’ve been trying to get confirmation that there is no ability to adjust the weight/tension of the jog wheels right. It’s just whatever you get out of the box is what it is that’s really disappointing especially since the jog wheels aren’t motorized.
@@terryjackson1 no reason to lie. I needed more weight on the jog, coming from using turntables it’s not close to being the same. Now if you are a controller user then it may be the best out there just not for me.
The jog wheels are slipping. You have to apply too much pressure to them, otherwise they don’t correspond with your touch.
Should just get rid of the faders they should just make transformer switches for on-and-off if going to slap them up that hard every time

Does Stem mode work for tracks and waveforms that Serato and Rane have never heard of?
Does it work on everything?
Stems is software based. Nothing to do with Rane, all Serato.
Doesn't matter what the track is.
Serato will analyse it on load and try to separate the parts. Some will come out better than others.

@@marvinwilliams8254 you'll need a computer that's up to spec to run Serato DJ Pro! Some music and some speakers I guess.
You need to download the Rane FOUR driver for your laptop to recognise it.
serato is okay for electronic and techno genre you think ? after watch flx-10 vids , rane four seems much more appealing

Real-time stems at your fingertips is a sigh of relief, after all these years, if you think about it. I can even remove MOST IF NOT ALL my true instrumentals and true acapellas from my digital collection since they'll just be redundant now.
No doubt! As long as you have a laptop that can handle stems on the fly! 😂
stems is good but in no way can reproduce a studio acapella or instrumental. keep your acapellas and instruementals.
Stems make it possible to make longer blends that would otherwise not be possible.
What? You don't need to reanalyze your tracks, you can just press and play with existing tracks?

Dude, you are NOT a real Dj. You are just playing a video game console!
The only thing for me here is that you can EQ and put effects on seperate stems quite easily. Other than that... this controller has no moving platters and isnt as revolutionary featurwise as people may thinnk.... cool direct control over stems... but besides eq and put seperate effects on all 4 stem tracks.... it does not do much more than my rane one with stems... mhm. Other than that the rane one is more compact and has moving platters... but I WILL say that the crossfader on the rane four is much better than on the rane one. The x-fader on the rane one has such a long cut-in... which is quite weird to me bc rane was branding it as the controller for turntablists. The crossfader is way worse than on any rane mixer I have ever used.... Love the controller for juggling...and scratching.... but everytime I change over to my mixer it feels freeing, bc a lot of cuts cant be done on such a long cut-in distance.
It also has four channels compared to two on the RANE ONE.
These are different products targeted at different DJs. Always use what works best for you!
