- My Children! My Africa! is probably one of the best plays on the issue of the apartheid movement in South Africa during the mid-eighties (1980’s). The playwright, Harold Athol Lanigan Fugard is at his finest, creating a deep, rich, and riveting play with only three (3) characters.
Cast
Jamaul Joseph ( Mr. M)
Julie Gibson (Isabel Dyson)
Emmanuel Okeneye (Thami Mbikwana)

This is really helping me as a grade 12 student with a teacher who does not really go through the book with us as a student body at all. Thank you for the help and the fact that the people who are playing the rolls are really bringing the characters to life. It gives me as a student a new insight to the play itself. Thank you. Thank all of you.
Beautiful. Thank You.

It gets better each time I watch it
this is a good one...it is so cool and impressed....its really awesome
Thank you Martin, I appreciate your comment. We did this production at my school as part of Black History Month. I had never done a play that was sooo challenging before, what motivated me to do it however was how well the playwright wrote the play. Hopefully one day I will meet him.
100% awesome. However, the play lacks a South African element. The characters were awsome but their accents were not South African. Due to da play lacking a South African element I ddnt enjoy it that much, but the whole thing was good. Wonderful work.
I understand your slight frustration, the accents were optional
No this very hard to understand when you don't have a copy of it
I agree, Mostly when the song was sang, it was more rendered like a poem rather than a song, the accent doesnt convey the message of the song very well.
and here I am writing this book tomorrow , such life savers . 😂❤️
Lol bad girl 😂
Wow ❤thanks this video is really helpful 😊❤❤thanks alot
Beautiful story, good acting, good dialogues, good director, thank you very much for everything, you should stage more dramas like this, my kind request.
Thanks

These Black actresses are they Nigerian? I'm having difficulties understanding their English
Enjoying the book my children my Africa ❤
This is really helping me as a grade 12 learn🤗
Sorry but there are Afrikaans and there are the white South African people and they both have specific accents that are similar in some ways but different in others. Work was put into Thami and Mr. M's accent - why not Isabel's??
She is not speaking in a white South African accent. WHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!
It was optional.
Who came here the night before the trials
owwwkay... not what I expected but hey at least its the full play and now I will write my exam with the picture of Mr M not a South African but an African sayin " Splendid, splendid, splendid! ... by the he never rung his bell what's up with that ('_')
