- Pati makes a Mole Verde that will change what you think about Mole. It's light and bright with layers of flavor from tomatillos, fresh chiles, and green herbs. Her recipe is available in English and Spanish, see below...

Pati! "Isa"
Que amable Isa, mil gracias!
Pati you probably dont read this but you have the most aesthetically pleasing and functional kitchen I have ever seen.
Made this tonight. Holy Moses…..so good. Will be sharing with friends and farm crew. Thanks so much.
Yay! Happy you liked this recipe :)
I have made this recipe twice now and it is sooo good! I used pork shoulder and I even found the hoja santa in a Mexican grocery store, It gives this mole a wonderful aroma and a special enhancement. My boyfriend is Mexican and he was impressed by this dish, he said: it tastes like a pozole verde, yummy, when are you going to make it again? so, it was a big hit 😍
Pati i just love your show!! Im so glad i cane across your youtube channels. I record your tv show faithfully. So glad you are sharing your talent, skills and knowledge with the world. I am grateful. ☺🤗😊
Hmmmm, I can actually enjoy the aromas of all the lovely delish seasoning & simmering. Que rico aroma Pati, y el sabor, ni se diga! Buen Provecho gente. "ISA"
This is outstanding. I liked it with pork and my wife liked it with chicken. Was able to find both spices dry in Madison, WI. Thanks Pati, we'll make this one for years.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Since COVID began my husband found your cooking show and immediately knew I would love it! I grew up in LA and have always had a great love for authentic Mexican food. It is harder to find it in Minnesota where I live now.
Thank you for all of your beautiful recipes. I love spending the day in my kitchen cooking your amazing food. Thank you so much for guiding me in my passion for cooking. You make my day when I cook with You!
You have such a fun , enthusiastic and wonderful way about you. I love how your boys join you sometimes. Your food is Love!
Hi Patty,
I've made green enchiladas but never pork with green mole. I can hardly wait till I put 2gether. Thank U for sharing! Bueno!!
Thank you for sharing! God bless you! You are gifted beautiful lady:)
Aren’t we supposed to soak beans overnight? And if not, then is it because of the type of beans you’re using? What is the name of the white beans you’re using? Navy? Great northern? Cannellini?🤗🤗🤗
Teri San Soaking the dry beans beforehand helps to reduce your cooking time once it hits the pot. It's somewhat intangible to describe, but I kind of like that extra "low and slow" from the longer cook, if that makes sense. :)
Ugh
Looks absolutely delicious I bet !!! Love Chile Verde
Ahh glorious food 😌
She didn't say "mooshee" this episode, but another awesome recipe from Pati. What I love about her recipes is that you can riff your own style off of them.
Wooooooo James Beard winner!

Hi Pati,
I normally don’t like garlic in my food. In fact, I think my body tries to rid itself of garlic residue as fast as possible. It seems like the use of garlic has increased significantly in the US in the last 20 years. I find it being over used by so many restaurants and in home cooking, and for me, the taste and smell ruins the foods. Are you aware of any garlic substitutes for recipes? And do you have any advice for cooks and chefs regarding the overuse of garlic? BTW, I think Juju may be quite the chef someday.
Hola hola dónde puedo adquirir tus libros se que tienes varios pues yo te veía por pbs pero dish me parece q no lo tienes
Would chicken thighs work? I want to make this for my family, but my father in law is Jewish.
Aboslutely Cara, go for the chicken and enjoy!
PONER SUBTÍTULOS EN ESPAÑOL. Y LETRA GRANDE POR. FAVOR , GRACIAS !! !

Hoja Santa translates to Holy Leaf.
Pork butt and pork shoulder are the same thing.
Cuando hablas en ingles me duele la cabeza
