@@joellopez5897 Unless you're playing hyper-carry support, it is really hard. Mainly because people don't understand what you're doing as support. Once I hit high plat, everything becomes easier.(:

from experience gold and below adcs get triggered when you touch "their" wave, and they will 100% ping you if they die after you recalled, because they won't back without 1300 money or something
If you just last hit minions they wouldnt get while basing, or setting up a freeze, you should be fine. If the adc still is triggered, just mute
Ikr!! I couldnt touch a single minion to help him!!!! He wouldnt base and just go further deep without me and die! And then Ping me for recalling! Some adcs are just so greedy and self-centered...

i had a kayle ADC the other day, yes KAYLE (melee until level 6) and the moment we got to lane i started pressureing the first wave. getting creeps low enough for her to CS. the entire time she is '?' pinging me to stop but i ignored of course knowing im doing the right thing (i wasnt pushing more than the enemy team were) then the seconde wave comes and i start doing the same to the melee creeps. again constant '?' '!' pings for me to stop, we end up getting level 2 first but dont get a hard engage or all in on the enemy as they pull off.
i wish ADC's knew how to handle the wave xD
“There is no way your adc will see you recall and stay on lane with low health like this” oh man you would be surprised. That’s one of the biggest issues I have with ADC’s and it tilts me so much. We push the lane, all is clear and we are both low hp. I recall hoping they will follow me, they stay with literally 10 hp and die as soon as I leave the lane then write “supp diff, why did you go back? why didnt you stay and help??” and then I lose my nerves.
Or I ping to stop pushing and go back as we havent seen enemy jungler for a long time and I estimate he is coming bot and ping and write to my adc to get the fuck back. They ignore all my pings and warnings, i go back. Surprise-surprise the enemy jungler appears killing adc and adc blames me. I got irritated just writing this.
I mean you still made the right move, your ADC is just a moron lol. Better than both of you dying.
1-make sure to ward bushes
2-don't get tilted and play around the others members
3-stay cool in chat cuz adding oil to the flames will make the situation worse

@@Haivexx No. It's variable from game to game. Sometimes your win condition IS your ADC, sometimes it's your top laner, sometimes it's YOU. You're not doing anything constantly ganking a Malphite vs Ornn lane and leaving the Kog'Maw alone against Draven and Thresh.

The support "afk" in Level 1 is due to low elo adcs freaking out and disconnecting when you even AA the wave once.

Yup, played a normals game with a low elo adc, auto the wave once adc insta tilted and went afk.
I hate this so much. I just started playing support and they have no idea I'm supposed to be helping them and get mega tilted if I breath near a minion

Finally a support guide
I got some tips how to play as support by the someone who also introduced me to LoL. Especially the "early level 2" advantage. Afterwards when I started to play normals my ADC flamed me for auto attacking a wave. In ranked it was the same, so I stopped doing that. I even had one game where the enemy ADC started to troll, because their support was killing the minions (Those 1% hp minions, who would have been shot by the tower anyways.), while the said ADC was dead. You just don't touch the minions of your ADC.

And then blame me for the fact that they died to a 1v4 because surprise, surprise, the enemy midlane and jgl didn't just walk straight through the river we had full vision of thanks to my wards, sctuule and the midlanes wards to then go to their jungle, but to gank botlane. But hey at least you almost got a turret plating. I hope it was worth it. Like. Leona is tanky. And I WILL die for you if there is a chance you can make it out alive. But if my options include giving the enemy team 2 kills or abandoning you, leaving them with one kill, I will ALWAYS abandon you, because that gives the enemy team fewer resources. Also Leona has a lot of CC, but apart from her ult WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE YET BECAUSE I WAS LEVEL 5, they're all single target. So even if I lock someone down, that leaves 3 people completely free to hit you or me. Did I mention that this fight was going to happen under their turret because you refused to let the wave reset? So yea. Leona is tanky, but not "Shrug off 3 people attacking me on top of turret damage and minion damage"-tanky
Hmm these are great and all if I played a ranged champion. Wish we had more examples for melee v melee and melee v ranged.
3:25 you have MUCH more faith in that adc than I do. Personally, I think the Vayne sees the half tower plate and will fight to the death for that gold.

ugh thought this was a new video.. but I've seen it several times :D
Lot of people down here not understanding that in order to push the wave as support without getting flamed, you just have to wait until they start pushing the wave as well, not just CSing.
Generally I wait until they repeatedly auto attack the wave a few times, but context can be pretty important, like if we just killed the enemy ADC I'm going to start helping push the wave even if my ADC autos it once without it being a last hit. Also it helps to have played ADC a bit so you know not to reduce the minion's health too much for them to still last hit.
If you're worried about your ADC flaming you if you try to crash the wave, first off make sure the wave is actually pushing towards the enemy with 3-4 extra minions.
If there's only 2 minions there's a good chance it's just going to come back towards your tower, and your ADC may flame you with some decent justification.
I'm pretty sure this channel has covered this before, but doing something because you MIGHT get flamed is the worst reason to do something in solo queue.

That lack of knowledge controlling the wave really annoys me lol. Reminds me of what my ADC would do though, pushing out the wave instead of freezing
our lane has always been solid but i feel like accounting jungle pressure is number 1 for me...its always that 3-4 man gank that gets to me despite warding

I dont think its about trasitioning and more about forgetting u are support and juat learning adc
I sometimes get caught when going to ward enemy jung in mid game and in early
only ward the enemy jungle when you see the jungler in the map, exemplar you saw him top just go ward the blue if your lane is pushed
How to carry mid/late game as an all in sup eg naut. Like yes, you can ward and make sure your team isn't blindfolded and you can be a meatshield and cc the enemy carry but you deal 0 dmg. I prefer way more those sups, but in order to climb I need to play things like swain which has way more damage but lucks in cc
In the strictest sense you don't carry, you enable others to carry by creating opportunities for them. In the case of Naut, you do this by keeping damage dealers off your squishes with your CC or using your pull and ult to CC a target and give your team a chance to kill said enemy.
It might not seem impactful but it really can be.

Sure you'll be able to harass Senna instead of Bard but Senna has more sustain than Bard, and by doing this don't you just let Bard harass your ADC for free, with the advantage that he has bush control and you don't? Plus Bard in particular likes to stay near the alcove as it's easy to escape for him with his E from there. In addition, you basically say "oh if the Bard swaps with you, just go back in the bush" What's the point then?

Not only does my Gold ADC stay after crashing all too often, she will AA every single solitary wave to death from level 1, and try to perma push. That goes for most ADCs in Gold and below. I wish the video told us what are our options when you have a perma pushing ADC when you are an engage support. Oh and I love seeing my 0/2 at 6min Vayne break the freeze I setup and start the hard shoving crap again. That is the REAL LoL in low ELO

@@elliotyun6850 Wave pushed to enemy tower, adc pinged, we know the jungler has recalled and is pathing botside. There is no right moment when you're adc is on autopilot.
@@elliotyun6850 You are assuming the ADC I am playing with who crashes the wave will stay safe when I go and use that tempo that we have. I used the term "most ADCs" because I play with more who constantly AA the wave even after level 2 than do not. And if I don't see them taking advantage of the other ADC last hitting and they never punish that early, what do you think is going through my head when I wanna roam for pressure/gank or to ward deep/help JG or even engage?
Their actions say I cannot trust their decision making. The game play thus far is all I have to go on when making decisions. Both of the points I described I literally have no control over. I have to play the game I am in, not one I want to be in. Sure I make a shit ton of mistakes, that is beyond question, but it is much easier to know what to do when you are not playing with someone I described above. And those are the type of issues I need help with, what do I do then? Since this is what I play with more often than not, I would love a video on guidance on what to do in scenarios like I described.
I've seen so many supports afk in lane all game. So many supports just wait for their adc to set up some kind of advantage for them instead of the other way around.

I have a question, can a support farm? Because I always thought that there are 4 minions so it meant 2 minions to farm for support and 2 for adc... But Idk maybe I'm wrong, but how else is support supposed to get stronger if not by farming?
I have no idea how this didn't get a single answer- if you somehow still don't know please don't farm- your support items literally generates you gold , you are just inting the game by taking the adcs farm.
you can auto attack them a couple of times to get them low for ur adc if they’re pushing but you don’t really ever take minions because u don’t need to worry about gold as supp

You also say rakan is afking in lane but he may have only needed a bit more gold for a large power spike so at this point it would be good for jungle to gank helping bot Lane sending them into a stronger snowball.
But you cant apply standards of pressure to low elo as you do from dia up... it happend to me manny times that I create pressure, and get 2 horrific outputs 1) my adc take it as all in engage at lvl 1 or 2 ignoring farm completly and putting himself in situation where I Cannon help and myself barelly escaping or die there too as I get 1v2 and some cc on top of that. Or 2) my adc gonna ignore me, banking off creating situation where he May open angle for me to get caught in middle of task (warding, poking, autoattack on wave) leaving me vounurable...

As an mf main, I have figured out that playing a hyperscaling adc is way better than playing a lane bully to climb. It's really difficult to climb when you need the early aggro to play propperly, but your support either doesn't know the meaning of the word, or ints. That on top with them taking active effort to ruin good base timings and wave magement. It's way better if you can play some what passive early, then just go do your own thing later on. So you have more agency.
What is considered overpushing at lvl1? I had the idea that you would want to get lvl2 as soon as you can.
Lv2 doesn't matter if you cant capatalise on it
Think about where the wave will be at generally if you cant get of most of your ability without taking a huge amount of damage then your pushing too hard
You don't want the wave to be close to the enemy turret when you get lvl 2
You only need to freeze the wave, you only get the cs if you last hit the minions so if you do not freeze the wave then when you reach level two the enemy can play close to their tower. It also leaves you vulnerable to a level three gank depending on the type of jungler the enemy team has

@@alainey No, ur second wave stay middle then u pressure enemy with your lv 2 advantage to slow push so you get recall, objective advantage for 3rd wave. You will never be able to freeze and get lv 2 advantage cause that mean the wave is pushing toward you meaning the opponent have more minion than you

I'm a gold 1 player and if I help auto the lane in any way shape or form I get flamed and they int on purpose and if they are letting the lane get slow pushed and I fix it they freak out and afk saying "I'm stealing CS" or when I last hit when there in the base they get even more upset lol.

6:20 i get tilted so hard when they do this. I mean the fact that i autoed the wave twice for it to be eaier to get the first 3 minions doesnt mean i want you to use ur support item to fast push. Lvl 2 engage is lost that way and i may even lose cs bcause i cant walk up. And when i ping them to stop touching the wave and then tell them they get offended and tilted and you know how it goes afterwards. Also they always push when im trying to freeze with support item and ignore pings or dont help push when i need to. Always autopiloting (usually autofills)
it's worse when relic shield used to heal you and your partner. like, why on earth would these supports waste the healing just to gain some gold early on. it's somewhat understandable if they spend one charge to take advantage of the charging. but what's worse is they would often spend all charges early on. that's just dumb. the healing relic shield gave is drastically more beneficial than the inconsequential gold advantage.
what's best is for them to tank the jungle leash allowing jungler to stay healthy, so that they as the support could benefit from both the healing and the gold advantage but they don't even have the wit to do that.
@@GrammeStudio Exactly. I see so many supps not using the supp item for a while only to suddenly remember they have one and use all the charges at once and waste them
@@sololeveling7390 I'll sometimes hold relic charges if there is no healing benefit to be gained as well at the time. Although if I'm at full charges I'll usually want to use it on cannon or melèe minion as soon as reasonable to get it charging again. Also tend to hold a charge for cannons a fair amount of the time, unless adc is in dire need of the health immediately. The other time I'll use them without getting healing to rush level 2.

As a support main and a noob I've learned a lot from this channel, but now that I've actually tried to ADC for a day I think you should add supports contesting farm of their own ADCs.
* In good case scenario I've had Brand trying to barter and give ME the ADC melee and ranged minions, but take the cannon.
* In bad case, I had my supports just using all their spells and basic attacks to hit the wave and aim for the last hits on anything they could.
Obviously I as ADC had to ward my entire lane because... idk... reasons, I guess.
They were literally just inting you , that can't really be properly included in advice lol.
Everyone that's saying "my lane partner gets mad when I blah blah blah" needs to start the game with 1 message... /mute all and play your game. Can't tilt or get into typing battles If you can't see or hear messages and pings.
Do you recommend leaving the adc to get solo xp so you can roam? Especially if they are feeding so you can impact other lanes

Yeah, it is better if the wave is pushing towards your adc when roaming
If the wawe is pushed upon your adc there is a 99.98% chance that your adc will be tower dove on enemy jungler and laners will throw their everything so your adc can die and lose all those farm which is really bad

I disagree with just saying you should back when pushing the wave especially how low the enemy was, there are many chances you can get kills and with good vision you can still avoid a gank and maybe even pull a 3 kill off. It's very situational.
I am going to pull an LS hear and point out that you said "maybe." Never go for a maybe play because there is a chance that you will lose the lane or even the game from it. just go for safe plays that you know can work

It’s very optimistic to think your adc won’t kill 3 waves of farm, before you come back to lane
How to climb from silver as a support when you are actually good but your teams are inting too hard
Pretty much get as much speed as you can, roam like mad, ward everything, and support everyone... Don't stick to the bot lane expecting things will somehow improve later on, supporting the ADC alone won't make magic happen.
It's really hard to do right, but, that's the role.
Just make sure to time everything right.
Best to pick supports that are good in roaming... Zilean for example can have a massive map control, as well as helping other lanes gain level advantage, same with Janna and Lulu.
And with rather immobile supports, make sure you enhance them with speed with runes and items.
With Alistar for example, with a good timing, you can surprise mid and push the enemy into the tower... Using the flash and hextech flesh can grant you an extreme surprise attack.
And yes, play with the minimap, look for opportunities... And pretty much, support.

My friends always ask me to play with them, they say I'm a very good support. I play medic in tf2 so that's what got me into playing supports
I don't agree with the rakan game he did right going towards adc. If he have done w to shen he could have tanked while adc simply transmit dmg.
I never do these mistakes.
Also yes rakan missed his skill, but setting up for that other kill thinking his teammates had the first was a good strat. Again this is all low ELO. You can put challenger plays into low ELO to make a player better but you can't make their team better for them. People have to realize that as well, You never deserve a win you have to earn it meaning if your team lacks somewhere it's your job to pick up the slack in that area.

teach me what champion is pyhiscally able to snowball hard enough to carry these types of games
they happen about every 3 game i play and when you go 9-0 and lose after 16 minutes you know something is wrong

Think Sona is the champ I've been doing best on this season, I usually play more tanks, but certainly seem to be having better results with her in general
Im silver. I main tank supports like amumu braum nami naut and blitz. Most of the time im running around in the bushes poking people and just trying to kill the enemy support. Its very common in my elo for us to just go hard killing supports to then get doubles. Is this bad.

My adc was like that was much better from me.
At low lol adc players are like just ward, heal me, give me shields and that is what they only want in early game. And yeah if he was ganked by the junger jump on jungler and die so he can run away.
