It's good to see the whole band playing together once in a while.
Nice
is it just me or that girl kinda looks like Jacob?!?
@@Taco_Burrito39 just you
@@giladkingsley I don't think you got the joke lol
@@Taco_Burrito39 bruh
I’m far less intimidated knowing Jacob has 3 talented brothers and it’s not just him playing everything.
lol. nice angle
Identical quadruplets. Didn’t even know there was such a thing.
More than brothers, he managed to clone himself and control all of them using his superhuman mind
HHAAHAAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Bad news guy
oh boy just imagine jacob talking to the production of the show like "hey guys hmm can we do 75 takes with 5 differents me"
Lets be real... he did this in 5 takes :D
@@wesleyireland3900 yeh thats true
Lol no. 5 different jacobs, 1 take. Maybe u forgot hes a god
@@wesleyireland3900 In Jacob's recent interview with James Corden, he talked about those Instagram videos he sometimes makes, where he plays keyboard in such a way that the midi piano roll spells out words. He said he must have done something like 40 takes to get it right.
It reminded me of of a Jackie Chan fight scene, where he throws a fan up in the air, it comes back to him and he catches it. When talking about it, Jackie said it was more than 120 takes - "Those kinda scenes, when you see it, people say 'oh Jackie's good!', it's not good - you can do it. Except do you have the patience or not?" (paraphrasing).
We all know Jacob is a phenomenally talented artist, and who knows, maybe he did do this in 5 takes. But, lets not forget the sheer amount of hard work and effort he's also put in over the years. He might have perfect pitch, but that doesn't automatically make you good at playing all these instruments, it doesn't give you the muscle memory, it doesn't give the technique.
Jacob's put in thousands of hours into his crafts, and it absolutely shows.
@@zebediahzwick2664 Pretty sure Jacob just said that to be humble🤔
That melodica solo increased my life span by 5 yrs
Quite nutritius
totally it should be prescribed

Now you can have 5 more years of listening to that melodica solo

Ladies and gentlemen, a round of applause for Jacob and The Colliers
This song is All I Need

No shit

Which one? lol.
@@connorhlane he deserves all of them. Which one do you think he'll win, tho?
@@abrahamfernandez2077, agreed. Probably best R&B performance, and Best Arrangement, Instrumentals & Vocals. I doubt he'll win best album.
@@connorhlane sadly i doubt it too, sometimes is just a popularity contest, so future nostalgia (which is good but come on its not jacob) would probably win
@@connorhlane I think he deserves all them. But this year I don't think he'll win any because of the other candidates. He's competing with mainstream artists and Grammy is about popularity too, not only quality...
I hope I'm wrong hahaha
I would like to have a chat with the RAM in your computer. Just chugging away at all the complex data that your brain thinks up. Cheers from Canada Jacob. This was another great one.
He's done many "logic sessions" wherein he talks about how often his computer freezes due to how many tracks his songs have XD

Oh yeah my favorite band: Jacob and the Jacobs
Even more impressed that he edited the video himself. Mad commitment

Kinda like Really Love by KSI.
yea and I wouldn't mind
@@Bee77 lmao weird comparison yet true
Jacob Collier is such a wizard that he's able to clone himself through the power of music alone.
Totally YASSSS
If only my singing voice was 1/10 the silky smooth, lathery texture that Jacob’s has. Mahalia fits in perfectly too, with her high pitched, quiet tune!
Honestly jacob doesn't have the nicest singing voice but he's extremely competent and smart with what he does with it. Just gotta figure out how to make the most of your personal instrument.
For Jacob to have worked with her, she's definitely a great singer
Personally, I don´t like Jacob´s voice at all. That said, I´m singlehandedly responsible for at least 100,000k of his views; he´s just a prodigy of our time.
His tone is quite dark with a far back placement (back as in coming from the back of the head/mouth/throat). Obviously it's what's natural for hom, but you could always experiment with vocal placement and contrast bright, nasal sounds with darker ones
@@ericcedeno11 I have sent this to everybody I know!!!!!!!
my goal is to be able to groove with myself as hard as jacob grooves with himself
Watching Jacob perform is honestly exquisite. If I had to pick a person who was the human incarnation of music, I’d pick Jacob, FOR SURE. Also this song (like all of his songs) just transports you to a different plane of consciousness, and I love it ✨
Ditto!!!!
I’ve heard so many versions of this song it’s nuts
On the album

CBS
With Guys like Jacob, thundercat, Cory Henry, and Robert Glasper getting so much more attention over the years gives me so much excitement for music in the future.
I haven’t heard of Robert Glasper, but if you mention him in the same company as JC, Thundercat and Cory Henry, I’d best check him out!!
@@simonhodgetts6530 He's a really good Jazz player and producer! Did some work with Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly which has a lot of Jazz-like Motiffs in it.
Ah ok - Kendrick Lamar gets my vote, so I’ll check him out - thanks!
@@simonhodgetts6530 Rob Glasper is an industry legend!
tom misch!!
God you're still so underrated for someone who's literally nominated for best album of the year at the goddamn Grammy
Honestly
Grammys are trash, an industry pat ourselves on the back event, a popularity contest. Jacob is too good for the Grammys.
Dude ur so right, I hadn't even heard of him until today, but I can tell he's super talented and I can't wait to binge like all his music
@@grace-nm3hk I'm glad you've finally found him, genuinely one of the most talented musicians in the game right now he deserves all the recognition
@@annnaaa4337 oh for sure, he's a freaking genius, I'm currently crying over how beautiful all the harmonies are, it's just so refreshing to listen to such geniunely good music
its nice when nice people succeed.
Finally all the other Jacobs agreed to perform on stage
I've been following Jacob's career since we was a tiny teenager making videos with an iPad; before his first album had even come out. And it's so nice to see him growing so much.
I'm so curious how they record all these camera angles - like so much goes into the editing and all that
There are never 2 jacobs when camera's travelling i guess. Only zooming
czcams.com/video/_JCMzhpglgM/video.html
I'm guessing it's similar to this. The camera has programmed movements according a grid of sensors throughout the studio. By having the tracked movements you can basically paste in any fitting video you want.
@@Fred26498 i think it's more simple than that and more like what RENZO4993 said. the ones where you can see multiple of them are probably just recorded stationary but they make the frame move in post
He looks and smiles at the “others”, which makes it even more real-like.
Additionally, every shot of Mahalia with a Jacob in the background was filmed separately, they probably did at least 1 take of her part per instrument Jacob plays
Jacob's ability to clone himself truly is a gift to humanity.
this is great and all but I’m in dire need of at least 5 more versions of All I need please listen to our cries jacob

I love how wildly different this song is every time it gets performed live
This is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my life of existing on this planet
Her voice is powerful and delicate at the same time. A great accent to Collier's work.
The best musician alive.
As an all-rounder sure.
One of my favorite things about this is that he can do this live in concert. It's magical! You have to see him in concert if you ever get the chance. I could have stayed there forever!
Mahalia ❤
This is an amazing rendition!
Mahalia’s voice is beautiful and blends into the track perfectly and The 4 Jacob Colliers are doing what they do best!
Brilliant!
Jacob is such a musical genius.
The amount of masking work involved in editing all those Jacobs in shot with each other and the kind of camera work needed...never mind the phenomenal musicianship...
the collier family must be pretty big
bro this is not even a quarter of the brothers, you can see them all in Moon River, plus the 2 sisters and the mutant jacob that turned into a crocodile
@@FrantzesElzaurdia 😂😂😂
@@FrantzesElzaurdia You mean Jethro Crocodile Collier. Dino Collier is the Jacob with the onesie on, Jethro is the stuffed animal, and Jethro also has an unnamed twin hedgehog. lmao

Ladies and gentlemen this is the result of having a great musical genes and growing up sorrounded with music and instruments , many thanks to his awesome parents we have the super amazing Jacob Collier 👍👍👍😁
More joy from Jacob, with Mahalia as special guest! Thank you for your inspiration, Jacob!🙏🦋❤️🎶🔥🙏
Again I am completely blown away by Jacobs performance! Why do I want to cry every time I watch one of his videos? I think maybe because every one of them touches me on emotional mental and spiritual levels and it's not just the lyrics it's the harmonies it's the percussion it's the notes it's everything!

As much as I love the music, and keep coming back to listen to it again and again, I can't help but be amazed with the video every time. This video editing is just mind boggling!
There's no doubt this kid is from a different planet. It's hard to fathom the musical depth and talent he possesses. This is evident in that he usually just plays with various versions of himself. What's cool about this is that he found this woman who can follow the crazy phrasing and melody so common in a JC piece.
😊 he was already a musician in another life I think … he is definitely special, I follow him for a few years now … man, the way he play’s every instrument on a high level …

These two together are pure magic!!!
Jacob is an exceptional allrounder as we all know, but hell, his bass playing is otherworldly. 😮
I know he got a double bass (acoustic) for his 14th birthday, and it is prominently featured in his actual first album, recorded when he was 15... so it is probably one of the instruments that he truly feels the deepest connection to. (Playing electric bass isn't difficult if one already knows string bass). But he's repeatedly said that his favorite instrument is voice.
Jacob to the power of 4 !!!!! this song is so elevating !!
her voice is magical
I would love to see a behind the scenes video showing us how this video was shot. This is way more complicated to shoot than his stationary single camera tiny desk from home concert.
The takes are done from a stationary angle that changes each time for each take. Then everything is projected onto the back wall. Wonder how it looked to the audience, but who cares, it sounds and looks great on video!
@@mikiinajijic6763 im pretty sure there is no audience there is such a thing as covid
