I got the job after a painful layoff from a job I was working for 9 years. On 4/18, I was headhunted for a much higher level position out of the blue. The position is in the same industry of the job I was laid off from last year. I felt uneasy about talking to a recruiter about a job I wasn’t even applying for, but she loved my background. The process was so easy, but I struggled with the thought of moving on to a new job so quickly. Well on 4/30, I was offered the position and my background check cleared on 5/1. The job pays over 48% more than my current position. I am still in disbelief. ❤
