There was a ladder going down into the interior but the deck was huge and very long. Massive. You could tell that it was completely thawed out where they were and part of it went into the snow and ice on the mountain. The boy was running around on the deck and the man went into the hull down the ladder. I couldn’t believe it but it was actual film that I never saw again.

      @WorldWokeApeCult I agree, however, it is very reasonable to think that they were as suspicious and skeptical as us as well. And I don't think they would have accepted and passed this story on if they didn't really believe in it. Besides, it has been mentioned in different places all over the world. I believe that what happened back then is slightly different than the story we have in our hands. But something definitely must have happened. Someone has seen the rising water at some point and pointed out to his people about building a raft or something. He might even have built a real boat and started taking his own cattle or something..

    • @plainsman
      @plainsman Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@WorldWokeApeCult This is the nonsense that comes from mistaking declaring as a boat (possibly willfully) a natural rock formation that any reputable geologist would recognize as a doubly folded syncline. First of all, a major warning sign of pseudo-archaeology includes "discoveries" pitched directly to the media. The pseudo-archaeologist knows his or her claim will not stand up to scrutiny by actual archaeologists, nor will their dubious "data" ever be capable of passing the rigorous peer review requirements needed to achieve recognition and publication in an independent science journal, so it gets pitched directly to the media. Secondly, the flood story itself is filled with hyperbole that would have been recognized by its ancient audience as a figurative description of an event in order to produce an effect and make a point, and NOT as an example of ancient journalism. That the Bible frequently uses hyperbole in this way elsewhere can be illustrated by many examples.

      Wyatt was a huckster who hustles money from businessmen and TV producers in return for film rights. No one who invested cash in Wyatt ever saw even a glimmer of actual empirical scientific evidence because all of Wyatt's videos were frauds. Christianity has a tremendous legacy of encouraging scientific research, building on the belief that all of nature is God’s creation. Through modern science, we are becoming increasingly aware of how God has crafted the universe around us. Hundreds of years of research in geology, paleontology, biology, and many other fields have produced abundant evidence that the earth is billions of years old and that fossils and geological features formed through many processes over eons of time. Today, 99% of PhD biologists agree that plants, animals, and humans formed through evolutionary processes. Also, it's worth noting that the first ancient readers of Genesis 6-9 very likely saw its primary message as theological, not as ancient journalism.

      @@sunkisseddutchess6521 There is also the historical accounts of pilgrims actually going to the Ark and taking pieces of it away. If true that means it likely did exist long into antiquity. Those accounts also give a clear clue that it could not be on the hard to reach and very inhospitable mountain but on the much lower plain. It fits well that it sliding down the mountains to the site would put it where pilgrims could very easily come to it. Then the pilgrims and time could have stripped what was visible away until what was left was the remains under the mud and earth covering it The Durupinar site fits those historical accounts as well as the bibles. They did a scan that shows that underneath the ground there does indeed seem to be straight central pathways and rooms under the structure consistent to the Ark that most definitely is not natural .

    A few simple questions: under what possible conditions that a boat could be placed at a height of 13,000 to 16,000 ft of elevation? Would it require a water level of at least 16,000 ft above sea level to float the boat to such elevation? And in the absence of a basin of at 16,000 ft elevation surrounding the Mountain of Ararat, would it require just about the entire world be submerged? Would that wipe out the human race on earth except Noah and his animals? How the earth was re-populated with human after the great flood?

Tales from the old testament would have been passed down orally as few people could read or write back then.

      Darwin wasn't exactly a first-rate intellect though, was he? He looked at what we now call a glaciated river and, enamoured of Lyell's long-age escapism, imagined it being carved by the piddling river meandering along its flat bottom; it's not the lack of modern glaciology, it's the appalling lack of understanding of basic fluids and solids. Then he pondered finches' beaks when logic should have told him the focal point of any process must be the egg.
      I believe he's done enormous damage to science as a trustworthy enterprise and greatly diminished the reasoning power of anywhere evolution's taught as fact - it's astonishing to consider that he might have disconnected billions of people from the simple truth of 'cause and effect' - in that order. Ask anyone how evolution works, and you'll almost certainly get "Things change and helpful things will give the creature an advantage in the struggle for life." Of course, the wording can change greatly, but the key is that I've yet to meet anyone who begins with a cause for 'things change'.
      So, what's your understanding of what evolution achieves and how it functions?
      One other small thing: have you ever pondered how much of your understanding of existence is based on direct Mk1 eyeball observation and how much is based on information from those in whom you place some degree of faith?

Plus, we used to go by the stars and moon charts, so time was measured differently anyway throughout history. If anything, the Bible doesn’t really give a timeframe of all of the events. It just gives some of the events an approximate. Seriously people…religion isn’t meant to be so straightforward. No other faith is taken so out of context. Text is meant to be interpreted. The events can both be true and yet some of the information misinterpreted…I believe there is truth in it. I never say never, because wisdom is in knowing that you “know” nothing. If it cannot be proven, that doesn’t make it impossible or improbable, it just means it hasn’t been proven but is still possible. Can we stop shitting on each other?
