- While trying to head from Colombo to Weligama, our first train experience in Sri Lanka was not as we first anticipated.
REMEMBER that every experience is individual. In this regard, everyone has to follow their own guts and intuition; sometimes taking a decision on time might save you a lot of problems.
You know me already: Let's move on from this and start over with a positive attitude!

Yes finally you two reach your destination safely, hope you didn't lose anything. You should have captured them on camara .then eacy to identify, because Srilanka is a small island nation. Anything take on camara, hereafter.

You should have got into the 2nd class. It is not usually crowded. Also I think this is a weekday, trains are normally full, specifically in the mornings and evenings.
Yeah, it's also a bit difficult now to research now, information online was a bit misleading and once we were there we never got pointed to the second class 😅 up until that, it was a fun experience 😂

if you guys got on to the correct wagon at first it would have been a much better experience. 2nd class is less crowded.

It was a very confusing experience, we asked at least 10 ppl and everyone guided us there 😂 now with the gas situation the train is way more crowded than before and apparently even the second class was very crowded!

Those train are rush hour trains.. Usually its look like that. You should buy second class tickets (it not expensive) and in there have more space
We bought second class but everyone directed us to third class, it's difficult to know properly when everyone rushes and jumps on the train 😂
@@lifenumber6 '2' is printed on second class couch..
If you are planning to travel to kandy or Ella by train, just do a 2nd class reservation.. So you will get a seat to yourself..

Most of the Sri Lankans are friendly and helpful. But there can be few bad apples on a good apple tree.

They are, so far we have had wonderful experiences here! Hospitality is amazing in Sri Lanka,, but as in any big place sometimes bad things happen! It doesn't change our image of this beautiful place 💕

its always better to be precaution . it's sad that tourists have to face such situations. thats one of the main issues in SL which is why the country is bankrupt now, from the top to the bottom there are thieves .
Also we have to count that with the gas crisis there is a lot more people taking the train than before, so it was a bit of an unfortunate situation. We were warned by the rest of the people of the wagon, so two bad apples do not outshine how nice the rest of the people is :)

Two bad people out of thousand of beautiful people who were on the train; it was just bad luck 😊
You are very negative people. You have to plan your trips well before going it without blaming others
We are positive and don't blame Sri lankan people, just those two people who did that. It was bad luck, we asked many people and everyone directed us there and then the two guys got in between us and start touching us. Unfortunately bad things happen anywhere, even in Sri Lanka, I just share with you my story.
@@watch7105 I have travelled in Sri Lanka several times. So I know if anyone wants to go by train very comfortably they can book 1st class or special second class tickets in advance. And other thing if they had some kind of harassment on the train they should complain to the police or railway security officers. Definitely police could take an immediate action. No doubt about it.
