I own several Adept palettes, but when you said $140 I knew this was one I would be passing on. I’m in Canada, so when you add the $ 25 shipping charge it would be a $200 palette. Waaaaay too pricey for me. Just an FYI - Sugar Drizzle has beautiful multi chrome palettes that won’t have you living in in box under the bridge if you invest in them ..

GlamLite is having a big sale… The Ice Cream dream palette is only $22 (normally $45) and you could get the same light/pastel shades in that one. Great formula as well !

I totally get that multichromes are expensive and the packaging looks luxe, but not even really highend brands charge this much and it means its massively less accessible for so many people who ordinarily try to support indie brands 😔
@@Sarahissparkly yeah I own every adept palette except the La cienaga. But looks like I won’t own this as well. Cuz with inflation the way it is it’s just not feasible to spend 140 dollars on a (beautiful) pallet when I am in charge of buying our family food for the week. So yeah. I’m sad about it.

I usually LOVE adept, I own all but 2 palettes, and I have to say I'm shocked by the price of this, it is not in line with even recent palette costs from them. Take inspired for instance, it has 10 shifty shimmer shadows and it was $68 I believe, so even if we completely ignored the mattes, that's like $35 per row of 5 multichrome shimmers, so i would expect a price more like $100-$115 max, not $140. Makeup is my one luxury, and adept is usually my only splurge. I'll be sad not to get this, but things are already tight in this current economy, and I just can't justify $140 on eyeshadow when I have kids and too many bills lol 😂

You did a great job and the looks were beautiful but for $140 I am surprised there isn't more variety and that the shadows aren't more stunning. I mean they are beautiful but I've seen far more striking shades in $50 palettes. I have a few adept palettes and I like all the ones I have more than this, and they were nowhere near as expensive.

Too pricey - especially when my eye’s oils eats adepts shimmers with their last 2 palettes.
The amount of fall out was crazy (I’m surprised you didn’t mention this) 😮You can really see all the glitter on your face when you use the flashlight on the purple look! And you even sprayed them! You did gorgeous looks tho.
I always brush away my fallout when my makeup is done, it doesn’t bother me

Yes girl!!!! Some ppl dont know hoelw gorg and different it is to use a black base for your shadows! White is another that makes em pop!!!! And of course i bought a putple base from p. Louise gor my purple palettes and omg!!!! The gorgeousness!!!!

Beautiful pallet and would love to play with it but that price tag 😳 I’ll skip out on this one. $140 is a bit much, especially for what I consider a companion pallet. I know multi-chromes and duo-chromes are trendy right now but can we scale down then pallets and do a couple shifty shades to keep the pallets affordable. I don’t know who the target audience is but I don’t think it’s the average makeup lover. But I love the looks you created. ❤
You kill it with swatches every time. I sooooo appreciate the time you put into them and the flashlight trick is fantastic - even if it’s just to imagine what it would look like at a concert or something like that.

If you average it out it’s not that much per shade, less than $10 (with the discount) is a good price for multichromes. It’s just a lot to put up front for a palette. $140 used to be my car payment (listen, it wasn’t an expensive car lol)

This is stunning but I always hit up Unearthly Cosmetics first! I bought the "Dont be jelly" and "Dead of Night" palettes so Adept was a little late to my ocean themed palettes this time! 🐙🧜🏼♀️🪼🪸🐚 Ofcourse, Clionadh has a palette release with ocean theme coming out to but I just can't buy it all.

I was really hoping I wasn’t going to be tempted because it cost too much but this is exactly what I’ve been looking to add to my collection. Light/pastel shimmers and l know adepts shimmers are some of the best. I’m just gonna have to wait a little while to buy it.

You could get the GlamLite Ice Cream dream palette. It’s on sale for $22 right now! (Normally $45) and get the same light/pastel type shimmers. Much better price & great formula!

I love Adept but I'm way more interested in their foiled shadows (e.g. Minka), plus I just picked up the Not So Plain Jane palette recently so I'm all set for pretty toppers! That Seahorse packaging is CUTE though!
@Heather Austin, great in depth review! Love that you showed swatches and eye looks in all sorts of lighting! I do think some may be put off by the glittery fallout so it's worth a mention - even if it can be par for the course with these types shadows. Picked up your Adept palette recently and am loving the color story and formulas! Great job!

I feel you! I think I am going to pass on both for now. I have to keep telling myself that while this is beautiful I really get frustrated with these lighter more topper like shades and find I really prefer jewel tones. The prices are out of my budget. It's not worth adding these to my current debt right now. 😢

I ended up getting this during their Memorial Day sale this year. It was on sale from 125 down to 106 (I think I missed the memo that they dropped the price from 140?). I also got a 25% off discount from being on their email list. After everything I got it for 80 bucks. Paying that price felt wayyyy better then 140 and im happy I got it and it was definitely worth 80 bucks. I think this really is a versatile palette. It definitely makes me have to think when I do a look so that it doesn’t end up just being a bunch of rainbow colors in every look. But I kinda like that about it. All in all I’m happy with my purchase

Beautiful looks Heather. I agree that though this palette is gorgeous, it is hard for me to justify spending this much on one palette. I have settled for the Gourmande Girls Ethereal palette which I just purchased for similar shimmers. I just got it and is really pretty and a lot less expensive. I also have the Adept Plain Jane which I could use that has really pretty shimmers. There are other Indie brands I want right now and this is just too much for my monthly cosmetic lemmings. Pretty looks, but this palette would make no sense for me to buy personally. It’s not travel friendly, as I’d have to bring another palette with mattes, and $140, is not cost effective for me. I have your palette from Adept, it’s lovely and the quality is good. This sea horse palette is pretty and I’m sure will get great reviews. 🙂

Hi, so I;ve never done that before with the black base. So, can you do that with all kinds of shimmer, multi-chromes, etc.?
I love how you made it so easy to see the shifts and reflects. Stunning palette but I do wish they had split it into say 3 smaller palettes as the release. It seems like most people like the colour story just not the price point of $140. Shipping on top of that to oz is what has me passing. Thanks for the early review!
It's getting to the point where indie has made me uninterested. Every release is priced higher and higher.
I just got them early release email an hour ago && was stunned by the beauty. I think my next palette is the sugar drizzle MILF palette. I want a 2nd all special palette with a range of colors, less topper type shades with easily visible shifts. Price is reasonable and would be my first purchase from them. Opinions welcome! 😇
The milf pallete is my favorite sugar drizzle palette.
@@amyed3415 thx. I’ve been debating cuz I got an all shimmer by adept- first of its kind in my collection but it’s a lot of topper/sheer shades. MILF looks a bit more impactful && shifty. Are the shifts pretty apparent?? This reply made me so happy.
@@elisa-beary I’d say there’s a mix. Some that have obvious shifts, some less obvious. Some more pigmented and some more of a topper. The shade camouflage makes a beautiful inner corner shade. Leans green. I’d say as long as it’s a colorstory you like then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I was so excited to see this video after seeing it sneaked on Instagram 😊. All your looks were bomb, but that purple one was amazing. I finally got 3 of your Sigma brush sets ( 2 for me and 1 as a Mother’s Day gift to my work bestie). I must say that that medium sweeper brush is one I didn’t know that I needed and it’s quickly becoming a favorite. I was thinking this palette would be stunning paired with the pastel palette from Bella Beaute Bar!!! I do believe I’ll be gifting this to me for Mother’s Day lol. Dangit adept coming in with something so pretty to tempt me when I’m trying to save money. I like the all shimmer looks on you but This would look really good paired with so many of my other pallets. The house of el. The Natasha Denona glam and pastel palettes the glamlite Barbie palette the colourpop jungle green palette (can’t remember the name) the colourpop power puff girls palettte. The list is endless. the too faced clover palette. Ahhhhhh I don’t know if I can stay strong. I need to see if they’ve set a price yet…
Heather do you think the quality is worth the price? I have like 4 their palettes including yours. Are the colors different enough from those palettes?
I can never speak to what is worth it for someone else but I can say, even if I did not have a makeup channel, and my collection was the same as it is now, I would purchase this palette and be happy with my decision. I hope that is helpful I just can’t say what is worth to anyone other than myself 🥰 I feel this is special and unique to me 💖

I’m sure they have to price it so high because of the materials/ingredients…but I would’ve liked a smaller palette with a lower price and fewer colors.
I was dying to find out what this palette was. Gorgeous palette and those shimmers ones your arm swatches are Devine. But it’s still a pastely type palette and I just spent money in one. I don’t doubt that the $140.00 price tag is within means with the cost of making these shifting multi-chromes shades. Unfortunately it way too much for me personally. You always make amazing looks with the palette and this one is no different. Great review.

That palette is a work of art! It’s expensive but I think the price is justified. I don’t know that I will buy it tho. I have a lot of sparkly beautiful special shades in my collection already that I want to get more use out of.

It looks great, but no eyeshadow is worth $140. There is no way to justify that price tag. Its kinda out of touch tbh. I wish she would have edited this down and made it a more reasonable price. I wont be picking this up

No mattes, gorgeous packaging with no Name or Fandom I care nothing for, it’s all special shimmers including mulichromes (I own duochromes but 0 multis), it’s price per multichrome is not bad compared to Cleonahd, Devina, Blend Bunny, Lethal, etc 🤷♀️
I also own 0 indie singles in magnetic palettes, I prefer premade palettes and had been waiting for something like this
Almost got the All I Ever Wanted ones from Unearthly buuuuuuuuut I already own the two IndiBeat Ultimate Hits palettes (which seem to contain the same private label duochrome formula)

Also, since they have confirmed that this one is a permanent palette, I can just wait for a sale, probably Black Friday.
People seem to complain about these prices because they’re indie brands but Natasha denona and Pat McGrath don’t seem to get as much backlash for palettes that include BORING mattes that we all already own 🤷♀️
