- I am absolutely blown away by how phenomenal the vocals in this song are! Genuinely obsessed with Yonghoon and Dongmyeons vocal harmonies and oh my gosh that guitar solo gave me chills! THIS IS SO GOOD!!!! I cannot stop listening to it! Thank you so much to our wonderful patron CourtRocks for suggesting ONEWE's AuRoRa! Fantastic choice!

This is what I love.. when people encounter Onewe for the first time, and they're left utterly astounded by their music and talent they can't help but fall with just one listen :) Thank you so much for checking the boys out! They are absolutely amazing and their discography is just flawless. They have a wide range so you can choose from rock to soft ballads. You won't regret falling down this rabbit hole I assure you. Shout out to the weve who requested this! You rock!

Here are some (hopefully) helpful tips on pronouncing their names:
You are correct with Yonghoon and Dongmyeong’s names.
Harin - “Hah-leen”
Kanghyun - “Kang-hyuhn” more than Kang-hyoon
You were correct with Giuk, but his stage name (Cya) is pronounced “Key-ah”.

If you would like some more song suggestions for ONEWE, I would recommend Montage_ (which is more on the rock/active side), Regulus, and Universe_ (which have just beautiful vocals and melodies).

My favorite thing about this band is that Yonghoon's voice is so, so incredible, but their music isn't all about him. Every single member of Onewe is phenomenal in their own right, and each and every one of them gets a spotlight.
Your reaction to Dongmyeong on the first watch of this mv was my exact reaction too. I only discovered them a few months ago and this was my first video too. I instantly fell in love with them , their voices and music…just chefs kiss . And now I’m obsessed with dongmyeong 😆

Onewe is such a talented group
YAY, so happy to see you checking out ONEWE! They really make absolutely gorgeous music together.
I agree that both Yonghoon and Dongmyeong have amazing vocals! Their vocal colors are so different, yet they pair so nicely. And Giuk's rap-singing style adds a super cool element as well! Kanghyun and Harin do not typically sing in ONEWE's songs. And of course the instrumentals create such a wonderful foundation and build the song so amazingly.
I really want to recommend additional songs to check out, but the problem is that all of their songs are worth checking out! I'll limit myself to five: Montage_, Universe_, Veronica, Parting, and Cosmos. (and since you mentioned harmonies: their song STAR I feel highlights their vocals and harmonies nicely.) I hope you'll continue to explore their music, they craft their songs with such care and it shows!
! Thank you for your reaction. I live for the onewe love and appreciation 🥹. They’re such incredible artists. insanely talented vocally musically artistically. Yonghoon is one of the best vocalists imo- his range is insane. All three of them have cool complementary vocal tones- even cooler when they’re self formed! They just all fit together as one chaotic family lol.
Regulus is the first song I heard of them and I fell instantly in love. They have an amazing discography and they do covers so good, too. My favourite song to listen to of theirs rn is their IU Love Poem cover it’s so pretty. ☺️
Aurora is a really great song and highlights Onewe's strengths.
The lyrics give me a feeling of a daydream about a unstable passion...some kind of tension between awe and fear about the loved one (I think the structure of the song portrays the contrast amazingly).

Omg Yay🎉🎉 im so glad you loved this song! This was actually the song that got me into onewe and then oneus! I probably listened to this for a month straight 🤣 AND its the only korean song my mom will actually listen to lol! Im also lowkey a little obsessed with Yonghoon and his vocals 😅 And not only do they play their own instruments, but the members also write and compose most of their music.

I'm so happy you checked ONEWE! AuRoRa is the song that got me into them. They are super talented, composers, song writers, instrument players, vocalists etc. Can't wait for Yonghoon and Kanghyun to finish with their militery service and come back stronger than ever🔥 Reminisce About All is currently my favorite song, this song stopped my panic attacks multiple times! It waw also their debut song. I recommend it!❤❤

this song is kanghyun's song, he tends to make more abstract lyrics so u can interpret them as u want
What I get from Aurora is similar to the opening of Josh Ritter's song Kathleen: "All the other girls here are stars. You are the northern lights." It seems to be about someone who's gone from their life or from life itself but who continues to light up their world, be an inspiration and show them the path through the darkness that surrounds them. Many of Onewe's lyrics use space related metaphors and have titles such as Universe, Regulus, Star and Gravity.
Giuk is playing a Bacchus 5 string in this vid. He also owns a copy of a 60's P-bass made by Nash that he calls Bumblebee (it's yellow with a black pickguard). Kanghyun was using a two-handed tapping technique along with hammer-ons and pull-offs during the shred section of his solo before switching to a pick. He's playing a Sterling Majesty, one of their John Petrucci models, and in other vids you'll see him play a white Strat and occasionally a Gibson ES-335 or a Gibson acoustic that looks like a J-45. Kanghyun isn't much of a singer but he does contribute harmonies on 0&4 and possibly other songs. Yonghoon almost always plays an acoustic (not often) but he's shown with a Gibson Firebird in the Veronica MV.
Yonghoon is one of if not the best male singer of the 4th gen and Dongmyeon is obviously no slouch. In case you haven't noticed, every group under RBW has fantastic singers. There are three things you can depend on with RBW groups: top tier vocals, creative involvement with songwriting and other aspects of their career, and that their commercial success is nowhere near what they deserve based on their artistic excellence. RBW sucks at promoting their artists' careers and unfortunately Onewe remains one of Korea's best kept musical secrets. When Yonghoon and Kanghyun return from military service next year we'll see whether they can emerge from obscurity and light up the night sky.
Yonghoon has a lot of ballad covers on CZcams, and they are just spine-tingling. The group is self-formed and they write their own music and lyrics, they produce themselves and they play their own instruments. Kanghyun alone plays at least seven instruments. Best of all, they sound EVERY bit as good live as they do recorded.
Yonghoon, Kanhyun, come home safe from military service, we're all waiting for you!!

Aurora is actually one of their harder songs, written when Kanghyun realized they didn’t have any shouty songs. Montage_ is another fun song where they go harder. They incorporate eguitar solos into pretty much every song, which I love
They lean to softer rock a lot, maybe partly because rock isn’t hugely popular with the general public in korea but ballads are. Yonghoon’s also always in his feels when he sings and really shines in emotional tracks
I went to check out your twitch vod when you mentioned listening to another song first, and your streams seem fun! I hope I can catch one in the future

Yonghoon is the best vocalist ever!!!! And Aurora is the best song ever! Onewe are so freaking talented they are one of my ult groups and Yonghoon is one of my ult biases! I'm ready for him and Kanghyun to get back from the military so bad!!!
