I remember this game all too well...Italy were paying $1.67 odds to win over Japan. Italy were the favourites So I put on a large wager of $900 for Italy to win...that was my pay for a two months all on one game. I had about 7 heart attacks that day. what a game!

The best match I have ever watched in a stadium. A lucky person I am because I almost sold my ticket because of the troubles on getting into the Arena Pernambuco on the first match. Very good vibe in the stadium, mainly from the Japanese supporters. One of the best days in my life.

This was (and still is) the best game from Japan that I've ever seen!!! They were totally bossing around the heavyweights in global football - Italy - by showing some of the best passing combinations and total control in the opponents side basically against all odds. While in WC 2018 against Belgium they were simply very sharp and precise with their counter-attacks and shots, then in that game in 2013 they were totally terrorozing Italy on the field!! :D

Andrea Sorrentino I am Japanese but this game was exciting. And here is the big difference between Italy (4 times champion) and Japan. Italy can win even though they lose the possession. In short, Italy knows football and how to win. We got a good lesson from Italy.

When Inamoto scored against Russia, the referee said it was offside but they later called it as a goal. So you think Japan doesn't cheat at all? Do you even know what happened when Japan became host for 2020 olympic? One Japanese olympic committee payed money to IOC for hosting olympic games in Japan. Later, he got charged in France for doing that. Personally i think Japan and Korea is same when it comes to cheating. Even in soccer games, japan is bad too just like Korea
