I would love if there was a ranch business in this game! Building a cabin somewhere, some fences, getting some cows, moving them like a cowboy to a selling point and doing upgrades, affordeble upgrades… :)
That would honestly be so sick, I think they should sell houses to live in in general but with a ranch you can also like actually do stuff and make money with it
I feel like they aren't capable of making anything other than just, "ride to this checkpoint and kill enemies", R* coming up with an actual in depth idea of managing a ranch and selling livestock etc. and interactions with players where we can sell things is literally too hard for them to understand, RDO is filled with way too much garbage and missions of just killing wayyyy too many enemies it gets boring and repetitive, they're too lazy and stupid to add any sort of new systems or ideas

I think the ranch thing would be so cool. You could own cattle and horses etc, and there could be missions for cattle rustling similar to player bounties. There could be a new character introduced that you sell the stolen livestock to. I also think they should expand the map into Mexico, there’s so much potential for this game.

Earlier today I invited everyone in the lobby to my Moonshine shack and I got 3 people to show up, we drank , slapped each other for half an hour, danced and played instruments and it reminded me of what could be. So much fun. Hopefully rockstar gets it together and takes care of this game

They could add stagecoaches as player purchasable vehicles for late game content. The mission would be simple pickup and deliver, surviving the players would not be. They could even vary the coaches from simple supply wagons (no enemies just enjoy the scenery) to fast stagecoaches (fast, only show up on the map when close) to something a little more like a mobile fort with a gatling gun (slow speed, sluggish, shows up on the map miles away, Massive payout, cover for multiple gang members gatling ammo must be paid for)

Picked RDR2 up on a sale recently to play with a mate online, but he dropped out, so I started exploiting the hell out of the game. Currently having a blast being sniped by 12 year olds from across the canyon, random gunfights erupting in front of fast travel points, being bola'd, lassoed and left struggling on the docks, and replaying the Etta Doyle legendary bounty, nabbing her without a fight, and then staring at a wall for 30 minutes with her on my shoulder to maximize the bounty.
Seriously though, even though it is sad that Rockstar has abandoned further development, it still is a blast to play, especially with a couple of friends. Form a posse and scrounge together enough money to get things going!

Nearly 1 thousand hours of rdo, I played so much, and I don't regret any of it even with little content you can even have fun with complete strangers and have a lot of good memories its crazy I don't know why rockstar neglects it so much, but I really do hope it does get more attention

i thought this would be an awesome edition so hear me out, Multiplayer story missions.
Let me explain, so this would be like a regular story mission, excepts players control every companion, like someone could could control john, dutch, hosea, micah, it could be like an alternate game mode for online. and the alternate choices could be a vote, the bigger and more chaotic missions like blood feud and red dead redemption would be incredibly fun.
This sounds absolutely awesome!
I remember getting RDR2 and playing the online so much. I got all the guns and outfits I wanted, upgraded my camp then realized "Shit, there's like nothing else to do."
Long story short, Pelican if you ever need someone with way to much stuff and no memory of how to call a horse for your videos, hit me up.
As I am just starting my channel by myself on gameplays it always amazes me how great others get their editing done. Thank you Modest Pelican for the fun!

I think in red dead there should be more stuff to buy. I think honestly the missions aren't too boring but there is just not enough fun stuff to spend your cash on. Like in GTA u can buy a huge variety of cars but most horses kinda look the same. I wish they added more businesses and maybe even some like Saint Denis Villa's to buy I reckon it would motivate players a lot more to play

If they thought it was worth it, they would do it. They were happy to invest nothing into the most half-hearted remasters imaginable in a reluctant attempt to grift a very vocal, but relatively inconsequential, portion of consumers.
RDR2 does not have the same universal “demographic appeal” as GTA 5. Unless RDR2 finds a way to shoehorn the ability to add neon running lights to a brand-named horse, RDR2 online will never be worth the effort from the pov of Take 2 execs. They’ll earn more from the next 3 years of low effort GTA 5 online updates, than any investment into RDR2 online. Dis be a low IQ market and dey jus finna make dat breesh no cap fr fr.

This game was so much more fun in the beta. You could see where everyone was and it was easy to find fun.
I love hunting in RDR2 online. Especially when I'm in the snowy region, this is because snow is frozen water, which means that I am sufficiently hydrated at all times.
So thrilled to get more rdr2 online content from Modest Pelican. It's my favorite thing you do.
I really hope RockStar listens to this. They went too hard into making it pay to play. It's just too imbalanced. No one can afford it and it's just no fun. It could be amazing. It's such a lost opportunity.

I only played online for about a week before I gave up when Red Dead 2 was still new but going back now it has definitely gotten better and I enjoy even though I've been playing solo

If you just want to play with your mates and not get bothered by hackers, there's a tiny patch called legalscreenskip that makes it so you don't connect to public lobbies but just connect to lobbies by other people who also have the mod. You can also add your own little keyphrase so you can play RDO completely solo, or with your friends only as long as they also add the exact same keyphrase. Not a bad way to just enjoy the game without cheaters.

YES! Ive been saying that about a ranch update for ages.
Like seriously, start with a tiny shitty ranch, buy some crappy horses>breed them>train them to bonding lvl 4 > sell>profit!
Then you could upgrade your ranch in many areas, the breed of horses gets more fancy as you can afford the fancy ones, and their stats increase by breeding the best horses you have, resulting in better profit.
