You are the master, you have a plan to rebuild the wasteland into a peaceful place by creating the super mutants. As you are sitting there, planning, a man in purple robes starts to run up the hallway. Seeing as how he got past your super mutant guards, you know this man must be dangerous. Is he a friend, or is he a foe? He appears to be a primal human, he would make a great ally. As you prepare to ask him your question, you begin to wonder if he will join and serve you as a super mutant, or if he will serve as target practice for you and your super mutants. The man has now strode up to you, you begin to ask your question. Join? Die? You can see the man sitting there, presumably thinking over his choices in great detail. His mouth starts to move. He grunts his response: "Ugh. Lee." How do you respond?

Because Bethesda has capitalized on the aspects of the first few Fallout games with the whole “technologically advanced goofy 1950s America” thing except that’s all they’ve capitalized on and they’ve turned the goofy knob up to 100. They think the basis for a good Fallout game is to have a radio station with top of the pop 50s classics and a fetch quest plotline. Every new piece of Fallout media that Bethesda produces is pure nostalgiabait (for Fallout 3 of course). They even turned Vault Boy into a fucking marketing product. Bethesda needs to just stick with Elder Scrolls and give the Fallout rights to someone who actually gives a damn. It’ll never happen though. They need those monies
When that gatling gun started spinning I felt it in my soul. It took me right back to my first encounter with the mutants getting torn up in black leather armour with no means of escape and forgotten to save anywhere near my progress. Lesson learned, this game was savage.

Changes yoir entire vision of the Master if you find iut he's actually Harolds old friend. Still a douchebag, but it makes him look less like a douchebag.
Now this is a villain i can get behind for the Fallout mythos: a product of the cruelty of the wasteland come to make it even worse by forcing its ideal vision on the rest of the survivors. And also really fuckin creepy. Here's hoping F5's villain won't be related to the vault dweller this time.
The master said the same thing to my character with intelligence 10, just because I took some psycho to boost my stats before the fight. Didn't think it reduced my intelligence that low but for some reason he still acted like I was an idiot.
I just can’t get over how he’s simply a sac of biomass with intelligence. Not a single being anymore.Truly something almost alien in the Fallout universe
In 2092 he was kicked out of Vault City for murder. In 2102 Harold and Richard with two other people set out to find the source of the mutated creatures that were attacking Harold's caravans. They found themselves in Mariposa Military Base where the automated defense systems were still on. Harold and Richard kept going found the F.E.V. vats a robotic arm knocked Richard into a vat were he soaked for one month, thus mutating into The Master. I know a lot more but I don't have enough characters :(
Low Intelligence: "ME HURT YOU! YOU HURT ME VAULB!" The Master: "YOU THINK YOU CAN DESTROY ME! DESTROY ME!" Low intelligence: "ME CAN HURT YOU! ME CAN KILL! >:)" The Master: (fires his overseer turrets) Death cutscene: "You have died, the super mutants have taken over your vault, and devoured and captured some of the dwellers for experiments."
My character's name in fallout 1 is None. Yep, i forgot to change it and i realiced that when i introduced myself with someone in the wasteland as "None" and said "oh, fuck". lolz
Three years later, but when the game was out I did the same. None "the Destroyer", able to nearly bypass damage from Laser Gatlings criticals and then hammer the shit outta those mutants, but only able to speak like "Uhm".
I love the fallout series no matter what game. Even if 4 didn't live up to the hype it still has an interesting atmosphere and shiny new graphics that give you a new wasteland feel.
yulog kerrang That's an exaggeration. Look at Far Harbor, I'd say that rivals some of New Vegas's DLC's such as honest hearts in terms of story and overall quality, I mean the atmosphere, nick's backstory, the rivalry between the factions, the decisions, what DiMA did, it's all fantastic. I get that 4 had some weak points, but at the same time had VERY strong points.
I look at the old Fallout games and weep. While the action pales in comparison to Fallout 4... I would still rather have the wit and soul of the older games. I guess New Vegas is the closest we're gonna get to the winning formula.
I was freaked out when I first saw the Master. The human flesh/goo everywhere, thinking about how a man could literally melt into and with a computer. The music, sounds, images, everything comes together for one of the best games of all time.
I disagree with all of you. Treat the Fallout games as equals. Haven't they all expanded the storyline and given you something new and different to play?
I had recently think about that part and came to the conclusion, that the master had taken a moment to think about what the low intelligent vault dweller said and interpreted it as if the Vault Dweller would say to him as if they could destroy the master.
Geez, I had no idea the Fallout community was this toxic, judging by these comments. Iiii'm just gonna... go back to playing my video games. And never opening the comments under a Fallout video ever again. Cuz daym.
+Poe Ghost Just ignore them. There are some real douchebags in the Fallout community who simply cannot fathom that someone might prefer the 3D wonderlands of 3/NV/4 to the hellscapes of 1/2, or that the Legion might not be the balls-to-the-wall best faction in the franchise.
DSCHMinecraft no fuck the new games, I've paired them all, they don't compare to this experience. THIS is what I need... they've steralized the art of role playing games just to appeal to those that despise having set roles to play and fill... the very point of an RPG is to ROLE PLAY A CHARACTER, NOT TO INFLOW THE CHARACTER, THEIR CHARACTERIZATION, CHOICES AND MORE ALL TO REPLACE WITH A HOLLOW UNTHINKING UNFEELING SHELL OF YOURSELF, A HUSK OF UNDELERDEVELEOPED, A MUTE CRY FOR SOMETHING DEEPER, MEANINGFUL...
I fail to understand the hate for Fallout and New Vegas, were they as good as the first two, in some ways no, in others yes. Bit they are very solid games in their own right, I'm not here to cause contention, merely stating my opinion.
The only place Bethesda really fucked up to me was in the quality of the writing and dialogue mechanics. They did a Mass Effect (not always a bad thing) and made 3 and 4 about 'big choices' that just give you the illusion of choice. Like sure you can decide what faction does what more but to compensate they've filled the game with shitty boring characters and endings that are all copies of each other. At least in 1 and 2 you might not seem to have as much choice but at least the choices you make actually have a real effect
+Th. Noatak No Fallout 3 was black and white. Or do you remember ONE caracter that had multiple faces? Survival? Plz. You just had to sleep for one hour to regain your health.
I don't understand all the fallout 3 hate. It fits in to the fallout canonicity quite well. While it's story line isn't the greatest, it gives a greater immersion into a nuclear wasteland that an isometric view never will. Also, it was HUGE; having a lot of cool guns side quests and companions. As soon as you left the vault, you could do anything you wanted, do anything you wanted to do.
As I see it, even though a lot of people don't like the Bethesda fallouts, when they play them, they will want to discover more about the interplay predecessors (1,2 and tactics) and unearth those gems for themselves.
Brick Tamlandd why simply not expand the lore to a place where rebuilding was not quite possible. A settlement here and there with few caravans, and survival being more important. Indeed, Fallout 3 has weaker plot, especially with the forced choices with DLCs. I'd rather help Enclave, but I can't. Well fuck it. Also, I like East Coast BoS. They remind me of BoS in Fallout 1, before they turned to scared zealots from Fallout 2 and New Vegas. You know, when you could join the Brotherhood without being born into it, and when they extensively traded with Hub? That kind of BoS is what I like. Super Mutants? Good idea, an homage if you ask me, for incorporating them into F3. Only problem is that they haven't done much regarding the story of them. Do they have a leader like Master or Lieutenant? Who ordered them to search for people in Washington D.C. if they kick out smart mutants? That wasn't explored... Enclave? Survived they have. Their destruction during Fallout 2 wasn't total, for New Vegas canonically states that many remnants went East only after Navarro was lost to NCR and BoS. Why I mention New Vegas? It's made by Obsidian, successor to Black Isle Studios. It's them who these Fallout 3 hating zealots hold so dear for lore. They refuse to accept Bethesda's lore. Well suck on it zealots. Bethesda has bought the rights for three games. They wanted to appeal gamers and fans while making Fallout 3. They made one of the best transitions from isometric view to 3D environment. Indeed, FPS mechanics were boring, but New Vegas worked on them, and made gameplay much smoother and better. Indeed the plot wasn't that great, while it certainly had epic moments (destruction of Raven Rock while Vertibirds escape above you). Hell, the soundtrack was fitting, and the atmosphere was just awesome. In truest sense of the word, from the moment you exit the Vault to the end. Tranquility Lane was also good, don't you think? The Pitt DLC was on a right track with possible choices between Raiders and Slaves. All in all, Fallout 3 has some problems, but it sure didn't bother me when I spent 1000 hours on it.
They got the story all screwed up since somehow Fallout Tactics story seems to disappear! And the Supermutants cannot exist in the "Capital region" since they only went as far as the Midwest (FEV is required to create a supermutant and that could only be obtained in Mariposa). No Bethesda's Fallout was a good game but not truly a Fallout game even though it has a lot of similarities!
***** Exactly and very conveniently I'd say, even though it directly contradicts canon! Bethesda also won that little pissing contest they started against Interplay! I heard Black Isle were thinking of reclaiming the franchise wishful thinking probably! No sadly except for New Vegas wich does not contradict canon the franchise is oficially D E A D!
SHADOWWOLF77 New Vegas has shown to have accepted Fallout 3's story, thus making Fallout 3 canon by your logic. Or by accepting Fallout 3, New Vegas made itself non-canon. Your logic.
Nope, i was talking about 2nd gen of Supermutants, the ones accidentally made by the enclave. F3 is a cancer tumor of fallout franchize and let us not speak of this atrocity

When that gatling gun started spinning I felt it in my soul. It took me right back to my first encounter with the mutants getting torn up in black leather armour with no means of escape and forgotten to save anywhere near my progress. Lesson learned, this game was savage.
some days, I miss being in the master's army..
Why the fuck did bleach join the masters army?!?!
+Actual Officeman Someone's gotta clean up the damn mess after they eat and shit
welp.
I rooted for the master in this one instance.
I fail to understand why my balls are so stinky, I only just bathed them last week!

That comment had no relevance to the video.
Nice job at making yourself look more ignorant than the protagonist on this video!
+Twilight Sparkle, The Inebriated Pissant Cant handle jokes, eh? Idiot.
***** All I ask is for relevance.

"Game: Fallout: New Vegas"
What
+Hypothermal Death I think the music in fallout 1 and 2 are in fallout NV or at least that is what I think the reason for this is
I think the music "Vault of the future" is in NV
You know the most dangerous person in modern Fallout?
It's Preston Garvey
- You think you can destroy me?! DESTROY ME?!
- That is a complicated question. What is quite simple is those settlements that need your help. Here, I'll mark them on your map
You think he would blow himself up either way after talking to him lol
Holy crap. You can play this game as Slow Jack and everyone reacts accordingly? This is amazing.
Tigger: Sweet Jesus Pooh, that's not honey! Pooh: ??? Tigger: You're eating FEV! Pooh: I AM THE MASTER! JOIN ME OR DIE!
back when fallout was actually scary
lol ur old
Play point lookout, dead money and far harbor
@@mr.intruder1536
Ooohhh, those 3 DLCs were spoooooOoOoOoOoOoky!
Let's be real. Just the soundtrack from Fallout 1 is scarier than ANYTHING from Fallout 3 onwards
@@Ravior666even just plain atmosphere can creep you right off the bat. Fallout 3, NV, and 4 felt more like a nice normal stroll through some deserts here and there while the og Fallout felt like you were walking in hell itself.
just to add salt to the wound, the master wondered if rats could obtain the same intelligence he has if they were dipped in vats of FEV as well. He completely believes a rat would be a more fitting subject to his army than you
Changes yoir entire vision of the Master if you find iut he's actually Harolds old friend.

You think you can destroy me!? destroy me!?

Master with low FPS
[7/25/22:] To celebrate this video's 11th birthday, a special speedpaint of a Fallout location shall be released this week! Stay tuned! 😁
thats pog
So, The TARDIS appears in this.
The Master is here as well.
Coincidence?
He is responsible for most of the super mutants in the west. The east super mutants were created in Vault 87.
The master said the same thing to my character with intelligence 10, just because I took some psycho to boost my stats before the fight. Didn't think it reduced my intelligence that low but for some reason he still acted like I was an idiot.
I lold at 'how about no?' :D
I just can’t get over how he’s simply a sac of biomass with intelligence. Not a single being anymore.Truly something almost alien in the Fallout universe
I like how it actually changes what you say. It feels like it really has an effect on everything you do.
Fallout 1/2 story telling mixed with fallout 4 game mechanics = perfection
Judging by those robes apparently fallout 1 includes the mythic dawn
More like Oblivion included the followers of the apocalypse from Fallout
In 2092 he was kicked out of Vault City for murder. In 2102 Harold and Richard with two other people set out to find the source of the mutated creatures that were attacking Harold's caravans. They found themselves in Mariposa Military Base where the automated defense systems were still on. Harold and Richard kept going found the F.E.V. vats a robotic arm knocked Richard into a vat were he soaked for one month, thus mutating into The Master. I know a lot more but I don't have enough characters :(
Jesus Christ that tearing.
God, they knocked it out of the park with this guy, his way of talking is so creepy yet so interesting
1:19 when someone says that fallout 3 or 4 stories are good
1:19 when someone met fanbase has been bashing on Bethesda and it's fans for years with no good reason
Low Intelligence: "ME HURT YOU! YOU HURT ME VAULB!" The Master: "YOU THINK YOU CAN DESTROY ME! DESTROY ME!"
Low intelligence: "ME CAN HURT YOU! ME CAN KILL! >:)" The Master: (fires his overseer turrets)
Death cutscene: "You have died, the super mutants have taken over your vault, and devoured and captured some of the dwellers for experiments."
If Lee was your character name, that's a pretty odd coincidence because i was just playing Fallout and my character is also named Lee...
My character's name in fallout 1 is None. Yep, i forgot to change it and i realiced that when i introduced myself with someone in the wasteland as "None" and said "oh, fuck". lolz
+EskorbutinReturns Mine is named Pootis (not joking)
Three years later, but when the game was out I did the same. None "the Destroyer", able to nearly bypass damage from Laser Gatlings criticals and then hammer the shit outta those mutants, but only able to speak like "Uhm".
its been 6 years but hes just grunting the word ugly
(X) to doubt even the FEV will help him
ugh lee. jesus christ, I cracked up when I saw this. ahahahahahahahahahahah
I love the fallout series no matter what game. Even if 4 didn't live up to the hype it still has an interesting atmosphere and shiny new graphics that give you a new wasteland feel.
I like all the Fallout games. Bite me.
*nom*
+15 rads
YOU MORON! GO GET A NEW SUIT OF POWER ARMOR ISSUED TO YOU AND THEN REPORT BACK TO ME IMMEDIATLY PRIVATE! DISMISSED!
Vlack so edgy
4 IS TRASH BETHESDA COULDN'T WRITE A LETTER TO FUCKING SANTA CLAUS IF THEY TRIED.
yulog kerrang That's an exaggeration.
Ask about what ?
-No.
Okay then
"Yes, little brother. What is it that you need from me?"
"Hngg."
Funny asf for me for some reason
He'll be a fossil one day.
The master reminds me of Max Headroom
He is voiced by winnie the pooh
+Gustavogukpa I'm sure that was the inspiration for his speech, same with SHODAN's from Systemshock
Fallout 1+2.... Is total masterpiece hell a game!
I like the female master
Fallout the Master with Low Intelligence! And low FPS, apparently...
I thought you were going to attack him with the lock picks.
The master is Real-Life Todd Howard in disguise
I look at the old Fallout games and weep. While the action pales in comparison to Fallout 4... I would still rather have the wit and soul of the older games. I guess New Vegas is the closest we're gonna get to the winning formula.
I was freaked out when I first saw the Master. The human flesh/goo everywhere, thinking about how a man could literally melt into and with a computer. The music, sounds, images, everything comes together for one of the best games of all time.
He is horrifying O_o
With the huge exception of the mutants on the East Coast.
That's creepy, reminded me about I have no mouth an I must scream
whoa what the fuck you dont have a mouth?
While you're at it, don't forget to put Wasteland 2 into consideration, created by Brian Fargo, who also created Fallout 1 and 2.
I disagree with all of you. Treat the Fallout games as equals. Haven't they all expanded the storyline and given you something new and different to play?
nah, technically, nah.
I rather prefer to have never met this game at all than being ruined by Bethesda.
"You think you can destroy me?"
Who said there was any thinking involved? I thought he would just let him go or something.
I had recently think about that part and came to the conclusion, that the master had taken a moment to think about what the low intelligent vault dweller said and interpreted it as if the Vault Dweller would say to him as if they could destroy the master.
*YOU SEE : GOO*
Indeed, good sir.
*Top 10 Anime deaths*
Honestly I'd love to see a modern top-down 3p RPG fallout.
Geez, I had no idea the Fallout community was this toxic, judging by these comments.
Iiii'm just gonna... go back to playing my video games. And never opening the comments under a Fallout video ever again. Cuz daym.
+Poe Ghost don't let the door hit you! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
+Poe Ghost This site is infested with idiots. Do yourself a favor and don't bother being caught up with this den of stupidity.
Poe Ghost grow a thicker skin, you pansy
Yea, and he changed his name to Grey afterwards.
I had forgotten how creepy he was.
Damn old fallout is scary looking
Gu err Ugh Lee ie eimm bwotifwol
Anyone else find it ironic this guy's system seems to be just as slow as his character?
I fail to understand the hate for Fallout and New Vegas, were they as good as the first two, in some ways no, in others yes. Bit they are very solid games in their own right, I'm not here to cause contention, merely stating my opinion.
No one hates New Vegas, they hate Fallout 3.
I've seen people hate on New Vegas, trust me...
Loren Nelson Really? Because I saw no problem with New Vegas outside of the bugs.
Dude, people are always gonna find things to bitch about, I myself love Fallout 3 and New Vegas for different reasons.
I respect you for your sensibility, and I can also respect your opinion, you will get no comment war outta me.
That music gives me the creeps at 1:07
The only place Bethesda really fucked up to me was in the quality of the writing and dialogue mechanics.
+Th. Noatak Exactly, just say " you haven't played it right ".
Most convincing and legit argument 10/10
-IGN
+Th. Noatak It's quite said that you don't even try to fight for your point of view...
Where are we North Korea?!
now i wanna play all the fallouts with intelligence at 1
I don't understand all the fallout 3 hate.
*****
Exactly and very conveniently I'd say,
even though it directly contradicts canon!
Bethesda also won that little pissing contest they started against Interplay!
I heard Black Isle were thinking of reclaiming the franchise wishful thinking probably!
No sadly except for New Vegas wich does not contradict canon the franchise is oficially
D E A D!
SHADOWWOLF77 New Vegas has shown to have accepted Fallout 3's story, thus making Fallout 3 canon by your logic. Or by accepting Fallout 3, New Vegas made itself non-canon.
Your logic.
Master: Do you join? Or die?
Stupid Vault Dweller: You're. Ugly.
*Torso-less Squaredance taunt*
so many elitists in the comments who can't come to grips with their game changing
Things can change for the worse, though
Eeeyup.
+A Bird Changes are one thing. Throwing things out the window that makes a series what it is, and continuous casualisation is another thing.
no proplem with fps. it has just to be done properly.
Niko Dubois the game wasn't even out then, why are you saying this?
Nope, i was talking about 2nd gen of Supermutants, the ones accidentally made by the enclave. F3 is a cancer tumor of fallout franchize and let us not speak of this atrocity
