I would so love to have gone to that, and this is the kind of things I can't admit to my friends because they would totally shun me.
You should just find other friends that share your passions , and I don't mean that you have to get rid of your current friends, like I have different friends that like different things that have different styles and listen to different music so I can live every aspect of my personality with some people 😊
Go anyway! You don’t have to do everything with your friends, some things are for you. You don’t have to please everyone and you most probably are not going to be able to make everyone happy with finding out what you like and develop yourself. You may also keep things for yourself, and choose not to share this part of you.
Any friends who won't accept you for who you are, are not even friends to begin with.
