There are so many modules in this golf, each door has one, ECU is locacated near the motor, but the majority are located bellow the stearing, near the drivers knee .
So as long as Air Bag Module part number matches the one you are replacing you do not have to get VW Dealership to register/code the unit? Thanks in advance.
@chrissullivan5416 cheers, I had read that you need to get VW Dealership to code it back to Germany as its a safety item but had seen a few videos where this wasn't mentioned. 👍

New or used airbag module with same part number will be not recognize, have to code it.
