Nice to see Box86 and Box64 running on an Honeycomb machine :)
Thanks for the kind reply, and thanks for both the projects 😀
@@sahajsarup Btw, I have just add preliminary Vulkan support on box64. But I do have issues with Cysis64, so there may be some bug somewhere. Also, box86 and box64 can use multi-core if the program beeing run wants to. But many games are still single-core limited. I'm aware of that and try to optimise single-core perfs...
I tried box64 main branch just before posting this, so yeah something is up with crysis64. My single core issue arises more from the vulkan side where i expected dxvk to be a lot more mutli threaded because that's how it works on my linux gaming rig.
I know box* supports multi threaded tasks, i did try geekbench linux-amd64 and it worked fine. I did this video a bit more focused on Crysis but I'm planning on another one specific for box*
Really awesome video. Please keep up the Honeycomb Aarch64 videos.
Nice work dude! :)
Stupid YT been showing me videos I am not subscribed to for a month, bah .. Any I hope you got the step-by-step blog post finished, some of this stuff is really hard to recreate sometimes. Anyways thanks for doing this, and nice to see someone took the time to create box64 (did'nt exist last time I installed box86 6/9 months ago), bonus on the vulkan translation layer too - if you can get all that synced, some nice potential, which will finally filter down to RPi eventually (maybe only for CM4 + PCIe in this case). Thanks alot for taking the time to get these working (shown), and yeah it would be nice if some of the x86/x64 would work on multiple cores, but hey, you cant have everything "the first day out".. :)
Love it!
Crysis is able to run on on box64 on my Poco F1 with Proton 5.9 GE and dx9 flag (also using bookworm)
This is really cool. Now i want to try to get box86 and wine working on some of my arm boards.
Nice video!! Ptitseb black magic :)
