@@valerieirvin249 you can make it without an icecream maker- just follow the recipe and instead of putting in an ice cream maker, return to freezer. Remove from freezer and stir every hour until desired frozen consistency.

I miss taking turns churning icecream for my grandma, too, but nowadays, this is the recipe I use: Pour 2 cups heavy whipping cream in a bowl and whip it with a mixer or manually until peaks form, fold in (1) 14 oz. can of condensed sweet milk, add vanilla and any fruit, chocolate of your choice, roasted Pecans, peaches, strawberry pie filling, etc., spread in a container with lid, and freeze for about 6 hours! DELICIOUS!

The minute she started singing I hit that subscribed link 🤗 I love me some ice cream I remember when I was growing up in the late 60's, and 70's churning homemade ice cream with my grandmother as a little girl in particular pineapple which was amazingly good, and my favorite! I remember putting ice, and salt around the sides, and that the ice was frozen in a metal ice tray, and churning which felt like forever. This brought back some good memories my grandmother is now gone she raised me, and she was an amazing cook. May I ask where can I purchase a ice cream maker like yours it looks a lot like the ice cream churn I grew up on, thank you! loved your singing, and the ice cream looked creamy, and delish! This reminds me of when I used to visit my Grandmother, whose from the south. She use to make homemade ice cream She used ice, sugar, cream and vanilla flavoring. She churned hers. She would let the grand children take turns churning it out. It was the best ice cream we ever had. It gave us a brain freeze but we didn't care. That was my fondest memory of her.

We would go eat at DQ and either have ice cream there or down the road at Baskin Robbins....but our favorite was making homemade ice cream on the front porch....we would take turns sittin on top while the other turned the crank...but we always had 2 or 3 makers going once we got the electric ones. I love the concept about how ice cream is made with custard being the base, easy for me since I make a lot of banana puddings, but what I do not like is that particular ice cream maker. I have a Quisinart and do not have to do all that with layers upon layers of salt and ice and the noise, but hey, Grandma did a fabulous job in showing how she does it her way. Kudos to her! The end result looked wonderful & yummy! 😋

How beautiful she is. She reminds me of my mother whose name was also Gloria. Like Gloria my mom loved to cook and teach her children how to cook. She too would make delicious meals and desserts from scratch for her family. Gloria you have such a lovely voice . I can feel your kindness and love through your voice and through your teaching. Thank you you made me miss and remember all of the beautiful women in my life that are now gone and the love they had for their family and how they most often showed it through their cooking.

So one said the minute she heard her singing she hit subscribe. I did as well. Grandma Gloria had me smiling so hard the whole video. I felt like I was at home getting tutored on how to cook.
I love homemade ice cream. There used to be cultural arts festival's in my neighborhood. There was this lady (may she continue to rest in Heavenly Peace) and her sister, they made the best!!! No one makes it like this anymore.
I really enjoyed watching her make this!! I have never seen ice cream being made this way. She said it’s an old recipe! It’s gotta be a great recipe!!!♥️
I’ve been making ice cream for years. I use a different recipe. Over the years I played around trying new ones. Even similar to hers, bigger quantity for my 4qt & 6qt. I usually use half box of salt. The freezers do stop, if you have a crank now is time to hand crank. Best if cranked entire process. I normally do it outside because of noise and drainage. Properly clean and dry and they’ll last years. Don’t over work motor or over full canister. Pack with more ice and salt and keep the canister submerged in that freezing liquid (salt/ice/water). This will allow it to remain frozen during event. Or just freeze in gallon/quart size bags. I love the insight and personality she adds to this video. I typically make a base custard and add variations of flavors. And reuse ice mixture for multiple runs. Or run multiple freezers! This video is perfect for insight to the process. No matter the unique recipe, the process is the same all over. And quite rememberable to watching eyes around!

We had a lot of fun making it along side you, as if you were in the kitchen with us! We made two batches so we can make a chocolate and a vanilla ice cream. I love the concept about how ice cream is made with custard being the base, easy for me since I make a lot of banana puddings, but what I do not like is that particular ice cream maker. I have a Quisinart and do not have to do all that with layers upon layers of salt and ice and the noise, but hey, Grandma did a fabulous job in showing how she does it her way. Kudos to her! The end result looked wonderful & yummy! 😋

How beautiful she is. She reminds me of my mother whose name was also Gloria. Like Gloria my mom loved to cook and teach her children how to cook. She too would make delicious meals and desserts from scratch for her family. Gloria you have such a lovely voice . I can feel your kindness and love through your voice and through your teaching. Thank you you made me miss and remember all of the beautiful women in my life that are now gone and the love they had for their family and how they most often showed it through their cooking.

Oh my word!!! I love all of this. This is how we grew up too. I’m watching from South Africa in Joburg. I loved the singing too because that’s what we do. I’m 76 and still do a lot of cooking for my kids and their kids. Bliss!!! I’ll definitely look for an ice cream maker. Want to try this. Sick and tired of the instant food we eat these days. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I love homemade ice cream. There used to be cultural arts festival's in my neighborhood. There was this lady (may she continue to rest in Heavenly Peace) and her sister, they made the best!!! No one makes it like this anymore.
I really enjoyed watching her make this!! I have never seen ice cream being made this way. She said it’s an old recipe! It’s gotta be a great recipe!!!♥️
It's custard. I cream is a little different.
I’ve been making ice cream for years. I use a different recipe. Over the years I played around trying new ones. Even similar to hers, bigger quantity for my 4qt & 6qt.
I usually use half box of salt. The freezers do stop, if you have a crank now is time to hand crank.
Best if cranked entire process. I normally do it outside because of noise and drainage.
Properly clean and dry and they’ll last years. Don’t over work motor or over full canister.
Pack with more ice and salt and keep the canister submerged in that freezing liquid (salt/ice/water). This will allow it to remain frozen during event. Or just freeze in gallon/quart size bags.
I love the insight and personality she adds to this video. I typically make a base custard and add variations of flavors. And reuse ice mixture for multiple runs. Or run multiple freezers!
This video is perfect for insight to the process.
No matter the unique recipe, the process is the same all over. And quite rememberable to watching eyes around!
