Another cool thing is how Ethiopia appears in Greek Myths. Andromeda was an Ethiopian (despite how often she's portrayed as white, this is completely incorrect. Even the Greek myths said her skin was black.) There's also Memnon, the King of Ethiopia whose fighting ability was on par with Achilles. Ethiopia is really cool.

Yeah actually even the body count during the first italo-ethiopian war was a lot higher from the Italians side. But on the second war Italy had gathered armies from Libya, Somalia, Eritreans and they arrived with a staggering amount of fighter planes which were equipped with mustard gas. This led to the death of thousands and thousands of Ethiopians, and even though it was clearly illegal to use chemical weapons, Britain, France and the US couldn't support Ethiopia because they wouldn't want to loose italys support back then.

Ethiopia is one of my favourite African countries. Went there twice. The people are nice, the food is amazing and the museum in Addis Abeba is my favorite destination. I also went to the churches in Lalibela and visited a chruch on an island in Lake Tana
