People also forget that after Rodon was signed, it was reported that he had a "chronic back issue" that the Yankees either didn't know about or didn't think was serious enough to not sign him.
Ding. Back issues NEVER GO AWAY EITHER. I’ve had crushed disc in my back for years and the pain from them sucks so bad. It doesn’t go away ever. A bad back is not something I wish upon anyone. Not even Rodon for as bad as he’s pitched.

Rodon didn’t endear himself to Yankee fans who booed him by blowing kisses at them. Then in June of this season, he was crying in the dugout. I wish he would retire.

Rodon has only been good for 2 seasons in his entire career. He turns 32 this year and he’s only been good 1.5 seasons in the majors.

its not that Rodon isn't built for NYC,it's simply that this is his track record..He was 14-8 amd 13-5 in 22-23 respectively but prior to that 29-33...He is who he is,bottom line..He's a respectable pitcher when physically and mentally healthy..Right now he's in his own head as the rest of this team.They need a stud 3rd baseman in a trade and a well needed All Star break..Gleyber will have a nice second half and the corner sports will begin producing with a trade to bring a nice bat at 3rd base...The the pitching will reset amd be right back where they,were in the beginning of the year...
Either make moves to win the World Series, fire people to retool for next year, or turn the team over to a more passionate and logical Steinbrenner. Hal’s happy with 27.

This team will NEVER win again until Hal is gone. I know people are going to blame Cashman or Boone, but it's Hal, hands down. People get bamboozled by the team payroll and think "he spends, he's not cheap". What people don't seem to understand is his main goal has been profits over wins. The proof is in the percentage of revenue spent on payroll. In 2009, the last year they made the WS, the team spent approximately 70 percent of their revenue on payroll. In 2021(the last year I can find), they had the lowest revenue to payroll percentage in the league at around 30 percent. The Yankees have made nearly triple per season than what they did in 2009, yet their payroll hasn't grown with the revenue. 300 million in payroll doesn't get as much as it did in 2009. The Yankees, with their gross revenue, should have at least a 500 million dollar payroll. Analytics has destroyed this team and if it's not Cashman, it'll be someone else. Hal wants this team to be the Oakland A's

@@markmilitant In your dreams. Meanwhile in MLB, he never won more than 6 games in a year after leaving the Yankees and his ERA went up (6.44 this year with a 1.675 WHIP - both higher than anyone on the Yankees). Cashman traded his 6th starter, who got worse after the trade.
