- How to Make Gears of War cosplay chest armor out of Foam! In this series I will be creating Marcus Fenix's armor from Gear of War 1 & 2. In this particular video I am painting the armor and bringing it to life. Painting is always my favorite part of the process and it requires lots and lots of layers. I do have free PDF templates of the chest armor available on my website if you'd like to make your own.

Thanks! Heat it lightly with a heat gun and roll it the opposite direction then have it lay flat

Question, if working with the graphite powder, can I seal that with some varnish? I really don’t like the thought of it rubbing off on my clothes; and I bought some because I really like the effect it gives as you’ve shown.
Thanks! Yes you can seal the graphite. I’ve used clear valspar in the past. Since I was covering this build with many layers of paint I wasn’t concerned this time.

Nope, people use pepakura for that just go follow the Warhammer cosplay groups they already have files available
Can you use regular foam for some of your builds?
You can do whatever you want. But hd foam will make you build easier. Because it cut cleaner, sands smoother, and won’t dull your blades as fast as cheap foam

Doubt it. I tend to create things that I really love nostalgically, things that are very creative, or things that are popular. Unfortunately Titanfall doesn’t fall into any of these categories.
