You don't have to spend hundreds to get a folding bike that you can use for an international cycle tour. Second hand folding bikes can be excellent value if you are prepared to do any repairs yourself! Small repairs and replacing any worn out parts can be done with simple tools and these light weight bikes can be stored easily in a cupboard or under a bed.

Thanks for watching and comments! - Jak na to + styl
Wow what a trip! You really gotta be careful on railways, too many tragedies. Glad you weren't on the tracks when that train passed! You really rolled with the punches and setbacks! Thanks for taking us along another adventure! Happy holidays!
Cheers mate! Yeah I really enjoyed this trip, even though it rained it was so fun & interesting. I'll be riding more over the summer so look forward to me getting out in the elements and exploring NZ. Thank you for your support!!! Have a great holiday season stay warm & enjoy the videos!!
Love this adventure. Hiiking, stealth camping, folding bike, fallen tree, and a live railway track. Brilliant!
You are like New Zealand's Steve Wallis. Keep doing these stealth camping adventures. Love it!
Thanks! I need a crazy sidekick
Is there a uk version? I watch a shed load of uk ones but can’t pinpoint one who’s similar. All the ones I watch are completely different!!
HOW MUCH FOR A CAN OF BEANS?!!!
Stealth camping and cycling. It doesn't get any better than that. Awesome video
Really good vid and very dedicated in all that rain! You deff pulled all the stops out for this feature length vid. You are good at roughing it and i admire you for that! Ref train tracks...always "expect the unexpected"! I plan to join your members club soon so i can learn more from you! Have good xmas and alot more adventures next year! Regards.
Cheers mate! Cool to hear that you like the longer form video, im planning to make some more like this.
Holy cow, almost 12 dollars for beans & 🍺. That's crazy.
I would consider bread & cheese with the beans a better value. Even beans & eggs on toast better yet. 🤗 I carry a small alcohol stove, one quarter the size of a can of beer. Super for heating up food & drinks like coffee or tea. My thoughts are never leave your bike. That's why I have a folding bike. I can keep it with me. Always have a backup plan. If plan "A" doesn't work out go to plan "B". 🤗 🚵♀️
Two comments !
By the quality of the rock bedding, fresh rocks, barely any vegetation, it kind of confirm the track was still being used.
The small white platforms on the right are where you should jump to in order to avoid a train.
Love all your adventures!
Beautiful hike🤙🏻!
You found a proper hobo jungle
As I work in the railways in Oz. My first thort was that rail is still in use! Been rusty like the guard rails on the bridge if not used. Glad your safe and a great mini adventure on your folding bike.
Cheers mate! It was a good adventure even though it rained, also I like trains 👍
Yell "Train! " And you and your imaginary friends start running. Love it.
It might be used. Looks narrow gauge. Maybe a mine train once a week.
Outrageous trip! What an adventure for hobo to be a jumper. 😂
It was a wet day already, I’m glad I didn’t have to jump into the creek 😂
This was a good one!
Cheers mate! I enjoyed it even though I got wet!!
Stay safe.
See you wearing crocs. My biking footwear of choice. Like you bring extra dry socks.
I like riding in crocs, trying to go bare foot more too
I like Keen brand sandals for biking and hiking. They're a bit more substantial underfoot than crocs and my feet stay warm if I wear them with wool or goretex socks. Plus they're sexy.@@hobocyclist
The backpack arrangement is epic
It works great!
I was out on a bike the other day in the rain for houts,, but I learned you can never have enought dry clothes with you.
As long as you keep riding you’ll stay warm, it’s when you stop that it can get cold!!
@@hobocyclist So there is only one solution: keep riding, dont stop! :-) All the best for the New Year, hope you will keep enjoying being out there. And I wish you will have more dry spells.
@@user-xs3lb8zz7f Cheers mate!
Would love to know what your current home base is now. Have seen your camper plus a car that you have lived in.
All over the place at the moment. If you know somewhere I can stay let me know
When you were walking across the bridge, you could see that the planks were in disarray and decay, and I am very surprised that that railroad track is active and that bridge is active. Very surprised.
Yeah, I was also interested to see the train!
You are hardcore ! Going wet into a wet sleeping bag. Were you dry the next day ? When I see those high prices I'm glad that the essentials are still cheap and that we need so little to enjoy ourselves.
I’ve got wet on my adventures plenty of times, it’s not terrible unless it’s freezing cold & I dried off pretty quick the next day! Prices in NZ are very high even on basic items unfortunately but there’s always a work around!!
Hi great videos😊
Cheers Martin! Appreciate it!!
What an adventure!
Cheers!
great vid bro. how much beers u drink daily?🎉
I try to drink at least 1. Actually I make my own beer too, for 1$ a litre, I will show how in the hobo secrets members area!
I always buy secondhand folding bikes wherever possible, however if you are looking for a good value strong & compact folding bike to tour consider Zizzo forte they come highly recommended amzn.to/3tLE3wq
