Precision is essential to assemble these redwood balls and the digging must be careful and meticulous.
Olivier ash is used to make this piece and the finish is provided by clear acrylic varnish.

@@bawbreizhartwood I've absolutely no doubt of that 🤣 But any worthwhile hobby requires investment. The trick is to start small, build over time. Literally one tool at a time. Years ago someone gave me a set of wood chisels because I like woodcraft. It's maybe time to use them. 😁 Your work IS rather inspiring 😻

Am I the only person asking myself how watching another person transform of a cube into a sphere could be so intriguing? Yet, here I am! It's part sculpture, and part magic trick.

I’m puzzled why you don’t cut holes and rods to join the pieces of the finial and lid. Seems like an easier way to connect them centered and more secure. Just curious!

there is no strong constraint on these parts, so a simple gluing is enough
