Originating in Vienna, the snow globe has become one of the world's most beloved souvenirs. Erwin Perzy and his family have been making them since 1900 when his grandfather invented the first snow globe by accident-in his mother’s kitchen. Today, the business is being run by the family's fourth generation.

I only buy these Austrian snow globes because they are so close to the ones my Paternal Grandparents had when I was a child in North Dakota. I just bought me two newest ones last week!
