  • This is a small action short I choreographed and shot with some friends in a few hours back in February.
    Shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k, with a Zucato Recoil rig.
    Lens was a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 with a Viltrox speedbooster.

    This is excellent! The color grade is nice as well. How did you record your audio?

      Thank you! Most of it was done in post. I did have someone on set running audio, but I didn't end up using very much of it.

      @@MaxJordanVisuals Deffo getting a sub from me! It's hard to find other BMPCC 4K users that actually try to make films. Most are just B-roll shots and music. Bravo mate.

    This was awesome. I have the same lens and camera combo. How did you pull focus?

    • @MaxJordanVisuals
      @MaxJordanVisuals  Před 3 lety +2

      I pulled focus myself if it was a still shot, for the moving stuff I just set the focus at the beginning of the take and hoped for the best. :D

      @@MaxJordanVisuals Did you use a follow focus or did you just use your hands on the lens? I'm considering a follow focus but don't know if it's worth it.

    • @MaxJordanVisuals
      @MaxJordanVisuals  Před 3 lety

      @@Victor-Rojas I used to do a follow focus, but I've moved to hand on the lens (if the rig and shooting style allow for it). It more organic for me, and I can feel the focus a bit better.
      A follow focus is a good thing to have for when you need it, or when you are solo doing dolly moves especially, but for me I don't that much.

    this is so cool! how did you choreograph it?

    • @MaxJordanVisuals
      @MaxJordanVisuals  Před 2 lety +1

      We got to set, scouted the location for the best spot, then choreographed something that used the location. I wanted to do the dirty/gritty style of fighting, so I had watched clips and stuff beforehand for reference.

      @@MaxJordanVisuals amazing, thank you so much! I'm just starting out in cinematography, and I'm currently saving up to get the bmpcc 6k pro.
      Did you use a lut for the colour afterwards? I like the look you've got!
