    Thanks for the video!! Will it be possible telling me where the round clip should be connected on the other end of the glow plug, please?! Thanks!

      I’m sorry, I only did the glow plug module not the plugs. 430,000km never needed a glow plug replaced.

      @@mounir2312 you’ll need to download the wiring schematic for that. I did not encounter that issue.

    By the way, did you also drain some of the coolant or just a bit came out when you disconnected the coolant hose above the glow plug module so it’s not really necessary to drain coolant?

    • @BillHolleyWRH
      @BillHolleyWRH  Před 3 lety

      Only a bit came out, topped it up after.
      But I removed the EGR cooler and flushed it later. I also replaced the Rad a few years ago.

    I see you are running green coolant..is that the new bmw green coolant they are using now or is it just regular store bought green coolant? Wondering cause I just bought a 35d and it has green coolant in it too. Not sure if I should replace it with the blue stuff asap or leave it alone for now.

      It came with green in it. I have since changed it.

    Hey man Im actually replacing the module right now, what are the torque specs for the 3 bolts on that coolant line? Did you end up replacing that rubber gasket too?

    • @BillHolleyWRH
      @BillHolleyWRH  Před 2 lety

      I can’t remember the torque specs, but I’m sure they are on the diesel North American FB page.
      I reused the gasket.

    Very insightful video!
    Did you have to code the ecu after installing swirl flaps? Where did that connector next to firewall go since swirl flap actuator was no longer present?
    Thanks!

      @BillHolleyWRH  Před 5 lety +2

      Blake Etterle, Thank you.
      No coding required. I left the actuator attached to the intake and plugged in. Only the rod and swirl flaps are removed.

    Bad starting or what was the main problem light on dash ECT and price new or second-hand!! Thanks

    • @BillHolleyWRH
      @BillHolleyWRH  Před 5 lety

      James Latimer , no problem starting but cel light and code.
      Code said glow plug failure on 5 and 6. But it was just the module that is the common issue giving those codes. I think it was a bit under $100 Canadian new.

      Did you replace the glow plugs as well? Or just the glow plug module? CEL is lit on my car also and says Glow Plug Failure on 6.

    • @BillHolleyWRH
      @BillHolleyWRH  Před 4 lety

      Dave Nget it had a cel for 5 or 6, but I just the module and all good now.
